This calling people names is not needed. I'm all Tiger. Questioning loyalities to defend Brownell is not fair. Defend him on his merits and record. What's makes us different from Florida or Michigan ? They are football schools first. Barnes and Purnell proved that basketball can be successful at Clemson. Wouldn't it be great to see a Tiger team making a run next year in the tournament?

If everybody on Tnet who wants to see Clemson basketball relevant in the NCAA tournament, there are a lot of coots on here. The best thing to unite the fan base is for Brownell to make the tournament next year. All sports matter to me at Clemson.

Actually, that's the only apparent reason you and a handful of other people continue to troll. Its getting really tiring coming here to talk about Clemson only to be met by a bunch of angry morons run off every new member because you feel the need to be a keyboard warrior. TNet used to be a great and funny place to hang out. What has the basketball program done on the court under Brownell in seven years that merits optimism for next year? If nothing changes with the staff or Brownell, how is the basketball program going to get better? We will hear if any current assistants lose their job. In the 80s we were good in football and basketball. It can be done again. Imagine the baseball program if Leggett was still here.

Maybe he's a lot like a bunch of other people and he doesn't like being bored to death for 9+ innings.
I've said very few positive things about Brownell. He isn't a good coach. He came to a Tiger Band practice to try to get us excited to come play in the basketball pep band and has about as much excitement as Ben Stein. He's got a lazy attitude and has no incentive to succeed, at least in mine (and MANY others) opinion.
Bottom line is, you don't have evidence he's a coot. If he's a coot, the mods could easily figure that out and ban him. They haven't, so what does that tell you? Get a hobby or something.
High horse? I donate to this Board because I support what TNet and davidhood do. But the more I have to wade through shiteposters like yourself that do nothing but run off new members and trash every post in sight the less likely myself and others are to keep donating or participating.
