A lot of the Talent from the last 2 years has left. Additionally, with Title 9 Violations, who knows what sanctions may take place. Lastly, he has to clean up a corrupt and seedy culture left behind by the Cajun Pimp!

After living in NOLA I can tell you that the culture there is
very different from any other state. "Cleaning up the corrupt
culture" will be impossible, for anyone.

I do not like the move for him. It will not take much for LSU for any coach. Just gotta hit on a QB which has been their issue outside of the burrow years.

Winner at Grand Valley State
Winner at Cincinnati
Winner at ND - as in WININGEST coach in ND history. Not season, HISTORY. 1 BCS championship game, 2, maybe 3, CFB playoff appearances.
Top 5 recruiting classes last year and projected for 2022 and now 2023. No.probation or significant player discipline issues. High graduation rate. All at a private school with strict academic requirements.
You may dislike Kelley, but no thinking person can really dispute he is a top tier coach. If your position is you have to have won it all to be recognized as such, that means there are only 3 top tier coaches in college football right now, none of whom are going anywhere. And frankly, I would not include JF in that club. He can produce a good team, even a great one, every now and then, but otherwise produces middle of the road to good teams.

Considering the talent gap between his teams and the rest of the CFP due to recruiting restrictions at ND, it’s probably the most impressive coaching job in the country the last decade.
