Louisville Hotels

Jun 27, 2017, 3:42 PM

Where is everybody staying for the Louisville game. We have reservations at the Super 8 Louisville Expo Center which looks to be a great location (walking distance to Cardinal Stadium) but some of the reviews are kinda iffy to say the least. Anybody stay there two years ago?? Any advice is appreciated!! TIA

I stayed up in downtown two years ago. Can't remember exact hotel but it was right near "4th street live" (large outdoor bar area with live music). Getting in and out of game was a breeze. Exact opposite of Clemson.

I've heard the game day experience is a little less stressful....looking forward to it!

I think the distance to the stadium will outweigh any negatives of the hotel

Especially if you aren't expecting a 5-star hotel experience. Anytime you can wake up and walk over to the stadium to a Clemson football game and walk back is gonna be a great weekend.

That's kind of what I was thinking...we are definitely not looking for a 5 star type of thing. Just want something that's clean and close to the stadium.

Do NOT stay in the Hampton Inn just across the river in Indiana. One of the very few BAD Hamptons out there.

That Super 8 would be sketchy if it wasn't for the game. You'll be fine and surrounded by Clemson fans. We stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street 2 years ago and staying there again this year.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn over there near the airport/campus/expo center last year, was OK, just a dated Hampton but no real issues, didn't really like the area though.

Stayed at the Embassy Suites in the east end last weekend, in a business park so no issues with traffic, parking or road noise and got a good rate for the weekend that was only $10 more than a Hampton Inn for a much better breakfast and free evening drinks. It was 10 minutes from downtown and about 15 to the campus.
