Stop telling fans how to feel about the current state of Clemson football.
I’ve been a Clemson fan my entire life. Granted it’s not as long as most, 29, but I’ve been devoted since my parents took me to my first game decades ago and continue to be. That being said, you can’t tell fans to “enjoy the success” or “trust dabo because he’s earned it.” It’s a loser mentality.
When dabo was first hired, I remember going back and forth with my dad about how good of a hire it is. But the dabo that is currently HC at Clemson isn’t the same one Clemson fans fell in love with.
Dabo doesn’t have hubris. He doesn’t have the humility to admit that he’s made a mistake. He will never admit that consistently giving his sons a scholarship and roster spot is a waste of a spot for someone of talent. He’ll never admit that majority of his coaching hires have been misses. He’ll never admit that Clemson is indeed slipping bc he can’t admit the faults within himself.
I would love nothing more than to be wrong.
But you can’t tell fans to “trust in dabo” when in the last 3 seasons, the trajectory has been downward and he won’t acknowledge it.
Just because fans aren’t willing to rest on the successes of the past and want continued success doesn’t make them a “coot” or a less of a fan. Stop attacking people because they don’t share the same pumper attitude as yourself and want the people who are paid a substantial amount of money to take accountability and right the ship.

Not sure that is going to have your desired effect. He's a 29 year old ClemDad. I suspect the coloring book will distract his son or daughter so that he can be more focused.

I've made several posts about what our problems seem to be. I think Dabo has some real work to do, which may include reevaluating his own staff.
What I won't do is pretend that I actually have all the information to even properly evaluate what needs to change let alone the ability to make those changes. Getting overly emotional about it isn't something I will do because it won't do any good.

Most pumpers are old, so I get their point of view. I’m only 31, so I can only remember the Tommy Bowden days. And Dabo has clearly been a lot better than him. More than half of my time as a Clemson fan have been with Dabo as head coach, so my perspective on the program isn’t what theirs is. I only really started paying attention in 2003.
But they are still completely wrong about Dabo. He is not the same person that he was when he got the job. 2010 and 2014 were the only year we “regressed” under Dabo. We were consistently getting better, with two years that went backwards. But we rebounded quickly both times.
That is just not the case now. We’ve regressed for 4 years in a row. It’s painfully obvious and some still refuse to accept it.

I’m not old just realistic. Things go up and come down. We will not be top 4 every year. We can’t control anything but the monies so if you or anyone else are doom and gloom move along to a team that will make you happy. Life’s too short and at the end of the day it’s a game. I could not have said that a few years back but it’s a fact.

This is an intergenerational forum. If the boomer vs pumper vs millennial vs GZ is what you want, check out Reddit.
On this forum, many of us were around when every team didn’t expect to win every game, so we see the fools of whatever age wanting to blow Dabo off as beyond foolish, and downright entitled and spoiled. Dabo was made for Clemson.
If you are a newer fan and just must win the national championship or turn trans on us, we are suggesting that life might be more of a marathon than a sprint, and maybe the concept that all teams can’t win every game should be considered. This may shock, but each contest has a winner and a loser, NOT two winners. I know, CRAZY…
Now, there is a remedy for this if you are young. Work really hard, donate it all to IPTAY, and by then you may be mature enough to understand the bigger picture, and your opinion might be considered by those making the decisions. The decision makers are assuredly NOT on here.
Or keep whining and crying like a spoiled brat, and we will patiently remind you that being a miserable person, when your team was 11-3 this year, is due to you being a miserable person, not Dabo or any of us.
Feel free to waste your life in self initiated and declared misery, it sounds really fun.
