Looks like UF and FSU can soon compete with TX schools.

Or at least as soon as this legislation passes.

Now, Norvell and his staff will be able to work directly with boosters and businessmen and set up contracts with players. In effect, the universities can set up their own agency staff. Now, its just a matter of who they will get to run them. I'm hoping FSU can convince Jimmy Sexton to set up a branch office in Tallahassee.

I can only tell you what I’m doing…..they have ruined College Football IMO….and I’m tapping out. I really is sad situation but I’m sick of what has been done….. a great sport has become irreparably destroyed.

No longer will these "poor" college guys get any sympathy when they don't play up to potential. I just wish the NFL was forced by legislature to pony up a few $Billion for their Minor League.

"The poor Division I football player and his downtrodden college life", was B S before NIL, before the 5 grand stipend. In reality they were and are treated like KINGS; a 3rd stringer, from any Power 5 conference: KING treatment on & off campus-

I understand your feelings, I'm going to just roll with punches until this all gets sorted out.

Florida can pass a law, but does the NCAA allow schools to be directly or indirectly involved with NIL money? I am under the impression it is not allowed.

Of course the NCAA has looked the other way for years, even before NIL.

If it is a law the NCAA won’t have any power against it. Learn to live in the new world and embrace college football

Hard to embrace it when it’s not equitable to all teams. Unlike the NFL this has no cap. Damage is exactly what will be done. Embrace the new world of college football with the 10 richest fan bases controlling the landscape. Sounds great if you pull for one of those schools.

The Problem With This Is

the only programs that can compete with the fossil fuel states programs are those located in the big tech state(California). Oregon might be capable of competing but they have to overcome the distance to recruit's homes issue. Put another way, there is no way in hell that the Florida programs can outbid the Texas/Oklahoma programs.

Just a point of clarification.

My original post was filled with sarcasm.
