He would have probably entered the portal anyway. It just gave him a reason to go ahead now when BV went to Okie. He absolutely wanted to play for BV. What some of these kids don’t realize is that BV is no longer a position coach, he is head coach and will not have the time to teach them tools of the trade. They will have a DC and a position coach, not BV.

It was probably one of those things where Kanak told OU he wanted to enroll there and he wouldn't be attending Clemson whether they took him or not.

It was done to limit the bad PR imo. Losing the prior three hurt perception....better to do it this way without another screaming headline.
I will say I don't think BV has pursued him....but if the kid doesn't want to go to Clemson, why stand in the way of him following BV. I don't like that he chose CLEM b/c of BV and wish he would stand by his commitment...but get it since he has had tragedy in his background with losing his dad and wants the bond with BV

Rather sleazy on several fronts but Karma has a way of catching up to everyone. Don’t want someone at Clemson that doesn’t love Clemson . Here’s to never hearing anything else about him.

I read that BV and Dabo have talked about every day. BV was trying to convince Jaren that Clemson is a good fit and that he should reconsider.
What's happened here is Jaren wants to play for BV, as simple as that. It's his choice. I don't think any coaches were in his ear swaying him to go to OK. If anything, I'm confidant it was the opposite.

Strange to be enrolled before signing a NLI.
If he has signed his NLI it’s strange that nothing was said and nobody was there to report it.
Also strange to be enrolled at one school but not bothering to change anything on social media. Or tell somebody. Or do an interview. Or have your new school not announce it in any way.
