Looking into going down for Auburn game. How was 2010 for you all who went?

I remember the insane number of Clemson fans that were down there in 2010 (when I was hating life as a Citadel knob). That entire visiting corner of the stadium and most of the upper deck was orange.
For those of you that went in 2010, how was the trip as a whole? I remember at the 2007 Chick fil-a bowl their fans weren't too bad to deal with.

It was HOT...that I remember vividly.
And the cheating bastages speared Kyle Parker and our season was never the same.
Toomer's Corner getting rolled was an interesting sight, but I'd much rather have deprived them of the joy.
Go into the drug store across the street from Toomer's Corner during the day and get one of the famous lemonades to quench your thirst while you're there. Neat little downtown.
Not a bad place to visit overall and didn't deal with any bad fans. I did deal with a couple in the Kickoff game oddly enough.
That's all I got for ya.

You guys remember how Jaron Brown dropped what would have been the game-winning TD?

I know he kinda had to lay out for that one but that still haunts me to this day.

The trip was fun but the game was terrible

I went with an Auburn fan and tailgated with some of his extended family. Walked around all afternoon, eating and taking in the sights. Got drunk, and dehydrated.... both of which caught up with me in the 2nd half. We fell apart and they came on strong. I had the worst headache/cotton mouth.
But we had a good time and I'm looking forward to this year

That's hysterical. I got a little too drunk/way too dehydrated for UGA '13.

I was dying by the time the second half started. Bought one of those $10 bottles of Dasani water.
Thankfully, my seat and the game were both still incredible.

I would definitely go, worth the trip. All the fans we came in contact with were great!

my life. Had to change clothes when we walked, for what seemed like an eternity, back to the car. Fans weren't bad at all though. Stay away from the Travelodge in Opelika. Local drug runners, nasty rooms and just a run down dump. Still haven't decided if I'm going back. That game was reminiscent of 1980 UGA and 1988 FSU. Did everything except win.

Staying away from Travelodge is a good idea in general.***

awesome place to tailgate and watch football.
And I've probably been to 25 college stadiums.

Fantastic...great downtown, Auburn loves Clemson "Auburn with a lake", one of my favorite road trips.
