Looking Forward

Saturday night was terrible, no sh!t. Not only did we get our a$$e$ handed to us, I had to sit in my parking lot for 90 minutes after the game with nothing to do but think about it. However, in that time, me and my dad managed to talk about next year.
Defense: DL-All but Goodman returning, add in new recruits and Shaq Lawson, could be a very physical, talented group (B)
LB-We have a plethora of backers coming back, plus the kid who came with BV from Okie who had to sit out. I think this group could be top 10 in country with right coaching (A-)
DB-Whoa $h!t...this is an area I'm very concerned about. Blanks, Jenkins, and Breeland coming back should help us, but I'm concerned with speed on the edge, and depth (C-)
Offense: OL-Losing one of my all-time favorite players in Dalton Freeman to be replaced Guillermo (no. 1 C recruit?). We had a very young OL this year, with a ton of potential and size. I look to finally have some control in the trenches in 2013 with Caldwell gettin them right. (B)
WR-If Nuk stays (A), Nuk leaves (A-), period.
RB-Losing AE will really hurt. Hot Rod/Howard/Brooks offer a good speed/power combo that we haven't had in a couple of years. New recruits could really mix things up as well (B)
TE/H-Back- We did a poor job of replacing Allen, but I like the kids we have coming back. This is a key position in Chad's offense, and it has me worried. (C+)
QB-Tajh will come back. I think his stock is too low after losing his only two big games of the year. We'll keep developing Kelly, so tons of potential with this group. (B+)
Special Teams: KR/PR-One of the most disappointing aspects of our club this year, IMO. We had absolutely no threat on any returns as we have in the past. We have the speed, just need to put kids in the right place (C)
PK-Chandler coming back with award winning potential (A-)
K-Need to find someone who can put it through the endzone every time. (C-)
As much as this loss and FSU loss hurt, we are a very, very young and inexperienced football team. All of that changes next year. BV will have the defense running down hill and laying the wood on people. Chad's offense will be humming. And we will finally be deep enough to have competition at nearly every position. There is no where but up from here. We have an extremely demanding schedule next year with UGA, @FSU, @Coots, @GT, @NC St., and @VT. Also don't forget NC St and BC will have new coaching staffs, so they could be more challenging than people will give them credit for.
A solid recruiting class this year with a win in the bowl game could really set this program up for a couple years to come. This was a rebuilding/install year for us, which it seems most Clemson fans have forgotten. I was praying for an 8-4 year, so you can't be too diappointed with the performance of our young kids this year.
Lastly, all of you calling for coaches heads...I don't think this is the time. Give these guys a chance to work with the program they have built. Rome wasn't built ina day. Next year, on the other hand, is a completely different story. W over Coots is a must, and more than one loss is entirely unacceptable.
Rough weekend that makes for a tough 12 months, but I still believe in this staff and this team. The best part is next year, I'll be graduated from GT and can finally have Clemson season tix again
Go Tigers!
