That was my first thought. Hope not. But he landed hard on the ball and bounced up a good 2 feet.

Head hit the turf pretty hard, and he moved his hand to his forehead like it hurt

I was thinking bruised rib, but I don't know why they wouldn't comment on that.

I agree. Most likely a cracked or broken rib. Only reason I say that is you can’t breathe deep with a cracked rib
