Long odds on Feaster elsewhere

Apr 25, 2019, 12:55 PM

IDK all the rules about the Transfer Portal, but it would seem that current players are allowed to speak freely to other schools...but can other schools actually contact guys like Feaster and talk them into transferring? Would seem to be a "no", but with the NCAA, anything stupid makes sense. Maybe it is OK if they have the graduation plan in place?

Here's the issue I see for Feaster: 1) no Spring Practice with his 'new' team 2) no Summer Workouts with his new team since he isn't graduating until August 3) his 'new' team isn't going to offer up a playbook until he is officially enrolled 4) he will be like an incoming freshman and be way behind anyone already on depth chart. With all these factors in place, I don't see the opportunity to be "THE MAN" until at least mid-season, which leaves him about the same number of carries he would get at Clemson. Guy needs to stay and we can redshirt Mellusi and/or Dukes this year.

Yes teams can contact him. He’ll go somewhere that his talent will standout, maybe Mizzu.

-Yes schools can contact him when his name goes in the portal.
-Very few transfers play spring ball
-He will essentially come in with all the freshmen summer enrollees
-I’m almost positive his new school can give him a playbook ahead of time

He can go through spring practice and still finish out his degree at the same time.

Maybe they can but would they. What if he decides not to go. Does he work out a Clemson now until then? When does fall camp start? What if he doesnt complete his classes. He's not going to want to sit a year I suspect

There's something in these hills.

Why are you a TigerSwimmer when there's no CU swim team?

The purple looks better on the image I made...

Guess this is why you don't "read" T-net when at work
