UT fans pulling for Clemson and the ACC?

Good article, and pertinent for UT's big picture. Clemson gaining super strength just keeps a lot of great athletes off the rosters of their perennial in-conference competition. It helps them in their lowly secheat-(L)east, but it also helps us, and that is what this Tiger fan cares about most of all.

It is a very likely outcome for us, and UT is headed for some rough waters, IMO. I'm not afraid of our future at all, regardless of what happens there. Are you?

10 A C would be a 3d or 4th place team in the ACC, maybe!!!;)

Lol...."Tenn. can't complain. 3 teams in its division aren't

Jul 9, 2016, 11:17 PM

even the best teams in their states"....

Wonder if the article's author would rate Citadel as the number 2 football program in SC??? Sounds as if he has about as mucb respect for the vaunted gamecocks and their football tradition as most Clemson fans do........:~)

Chickenfans are increasingly having to come to grips with the reality that--more and more--the entire world laughs at them and flashes that famous middle finger as a salute to usuck football history.

Truth be told, Carolina was probably fifth (or tied for fourth at best) in the state last year ...

1. Clemson
2. Charleston Southern (beat the Citadel twice)
3. The Citadel
4. Coastal Carolina (winning season, lost to CIT by 3 in playoffs)
5. USuC

That is a crazy kind of silver lining for UT. If Clemson takes away good players from USC, can't they also get good kids that might have gone to UT? I understand the in-state thing, but if a Tennessee native can play, it's not like Swinney and company are just going to ignore him.

Sounds like UT is desperate, almost cootish, at this point.

Jul 9, 2016, 11:31 PM

Using any crumb they can to feel better about their shambles of a program !

Yeah, because UT doesn't have an ACC rival

Jul 10, 2016, 2:15 AM

to get exposed by, that will surely mean a lot if all the other states in the least lose to the ACC, maybe then somehow they could get lucky in the championship and beat the West. Surely then they might make college football playoffs, not. That would be the year the SEC definitely would get left out.

Very cootish, indeed.

Oh no on ten site they are throwing words like "positive evidence of $ I offered for T" that's been turned over to ncaa. They have one entire thread laying it out. They are nothing but butt hurt losers

Their site is pure gold.

Can't understand how a highly rated receiver would come to Clemson unless money was involved. Kinda forget the part where the recent 10RC players were not drafted and how they did not play for the Natty last season. Right, cause their receivers were too busy blocking for a mediocre SEC team with a run heavy offense.

Coots are playing like it's 1999

when then went 0-11

They could just lobby to go to 16. Bring Clemson and FSU

Jul 10, 2016, 8:27 AM

into the East, move Mizzou to the West where they belong and we could beat up on the SEC East for them.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wow...thats reflective of the state of things for UT

Jul 10, 2016, 12:56 PM

"Hey ACC, soften these guys up before we play 'em! 'Preciate it!"

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's funny! One way to "look at the bright side"

Jul 10, 2016, 1:47 PM

Harsh but funny article
