Speaking of Price… did anybody here agree with the blindside block penalty? He was in front of Drake Thomas from State and maybe hit him from the side. I think it’s ridiculous. That penalty was more egregious than the blindside block on Tee Higgins in the national championship game against LSU. At least Tee ran the guy down from behind before blocking him in his side. I just thought that was a pity call for NC State.

Unfortunately he did that during a kickoff or punt this past weekend. the unfortunate part was it was called a blindside block.

As it has been mentioned on here more times than I would care to count, that when a lot of us would say use the TE in the middle of the field, as we were told, we don't know what the coaches know about using our TE's to catch a FB. Most of us may not know what the coaches know, but other coaches do, and that's why the middle of the field was always open, it was bc they knew that Clemson didn't throw to our TE's. They were even telling top TE talent that we didn't use our TE for catching the FB, that Clemson only used TE's only for blockers, and they were right until this season!!!!

Not disagreeing with you but what are the other variables we're missing, because I think we have been missing lots of golden opportunities to create more distractions for the DB's by using the TE's. Not just because they would be a distraction, but because they are true weapons. It is very hard for a DB to bring down a TE, as opposed to covering and tackling the typical wide receiver, IMO. TE's can be a huge weapon, as we have witnessed this year, and by using them, it opens the door for more and better opportunities for our wide-outs. JMO

1. Maybe OL needed them to stay in and block.
2. Maybe running backs weren't physical enough and needed to block.
3. Maybe they couldn't handle play calls.
4. Maybe couldn't handle the various assignments.
5. Maybe they didn't show it in practice previously.
6. Maybe they hadn't "clicked" with DJ previously.
7. Maybe they hadn't put the pregame prep in.
8. Maybe it's just 7 reasons, not 10.

In his defense, UVA is lighting it up at 17 points a game. His offensive genius status isn't shining through, yet.
I'm more surprised that TCU layed 55 on OK.
A) Venables head must be about to explode.
B) Does anyone know what the payout on the parlay would have been for TCU and Kansas to meet as undefeateds?

BV has no dudes on D (yet) as OU has been terrible on D for years. TE is also lacking talent but has never been considered a guru.

Agree about BV and OU. He also had several players follow Riley (and probably the money) to USC. Not a good setup for year one. He needs a a few years to build OU back but I believe he can do it if they give him a little time.

Kudus to Streeter, but I think the main praise goes to Richardson. We have had talent in the TE room before, but as the season progressed, silence ensued. Now, the TE's are the major players. What about the WR's? This will open them up. We are utilizing the middle of the field. It also seems to me that the receivers, whether WR, TE or RB's, feel freer to find empty space. The talent is there, and now the scheme may be simpler, but it seems less predictable than before.

Totally agree. Richardson seems to be a force in terms of making the TEs a big part of the game plan. Of course he had to have something to offer which he has in two excellent TEs.

It's about #### time. Coach streeter has done a fine job calling plays since he moved to the booth. Been saying this since day one...Davis Allen is solid NFL prospect. He can block, run good routes and has soft ### hands. This guy is going to do big things at the next level. The guy behind him is a future all-american and a potential day one pick!!!
