Boys, reporter Martin James in Warner Robbins, is not happy`

Jun 23, 2022, 12:25 AM

about Mr. Burley's commitment to Clemson....His bias is clear as a bell...from the very beginning he says Burley had offers from Clemson,The University of Georgia,Florida, and Tennesee. THe fact that he only distinguished one school by mentioning they are a university perked my ears up...Decide for yourselves...

lol wow!

1. The reporter was clearly of the opinion that this #### ain’t over yet!

2. That wasn’t exactly an enthusiastic response by the audience when he said he was going to Clemson.

3. His position coach was practically about to cry at the end because he’s not going to Georgia. Normally when you see an interview with a coach and a players going to a really fantastic school they are happy and excited. This guy was anything but!

Let’s be honest, when it comes to getting a top recruit out of Alabama or Georgia it really ain’t over until they sign on the dotted line! history has proven the bag man will show up in Alabama and Georgia at the last minute.

Spud, I've believed all along that once a recruit

Jun 23, 2022, 5:50 AM

completes his junior year, he ought to be able to sign with his school of choice.

Then, officially, he's a done deal with other programs ending their recruiting of him. That way he is able to concentrate on completing his senior year without further drama while the schools can concentrate on completing their rosters.

Thus, there would be two signing periods: the end of the recruit's junior year and the traditional signing day. No more December signing; no more behind-the-scenes shenanigans by programs trying to steal recruits once they've committed.

And as for these so-called journalistic imposters...Maybe, they should consider other work...like becoming permanent attachments to the rear ends of their "favorite" head coaches.

Exactly. Dabo has long pushed for first NLI day to be August.. December makes no sense what so ever. I guess it's better than just having one.

Thanks for posting Spud.

It seems that several top players got together and decided they wanted to play on the same team. That team is Clemson.

LOL. Lost in that stream was something that caught my ear.

"His position coach...."

At the little high school I graduated from here in South Carolina in 1972, we had a Head Football Coach and ONE assistant coach. That was the staff. Period.

And for the majority of my time in high school, that same Head Football Coach was also the Head Basketball Coach, and the Head Baseball Coach. And the Head Track and Field Coach. And the Phys Ed. Teacher.

Small public schools did not have many resources 50+ years ago in South Carolina.

Spud, the reporter's name is Marvin. He is sports anchor for Ch. 13 (WMAZ) in Macon. There is bias in this whole region daily unless your team is the puppies. WMAZ barely even mentions Ga. Tech during football season and they're in-state. From what I see and the people that I talk to whenever I wear Clemson gear, there's probably less than 50 fans in this area.

This whole area is eat up with the puppies. They don't even try to hide their bias at all. It's comical when the puppies get beat and how this station acts. They barely even mention Ga. Tech let alone anyone else from the ACC. I moved down here from G'ville over 14 years ago for work and I'm getting ready to move back to the Upstate within the next few months to a year hopefully. I can't wait to get the HAIL outta here!
