??Terrorists have won already when we can't get into an ACCCG without missing..

Dec 7, 2015, 12:49 PM

Part of OR all of 1st quarter of a sporting event! ??

Saying, those cowardly ba*stards are far worse than the fans & the team we are playing! ??

What a screwed up world we live in (and who Said high tech & computers were going to save us & make life simpler?).

Best times for me personally were in 50's when I saw Dwight the "IKE" in Charlotte & he was in open Ford convertible just 6 foot from me, and now even The PoPE has to have armor! ??

Yep, the bad guys have won phase 1 BUT it won't last forever since there are many Good Guys like DaBO & other leaders & Citizens across the Globe that will rise uP & conquer Evil! ??

GoTiGS..#1 BABY! ??

Unfortunately the terrorist are more clever than some of those responsible for security. I am referring to those working at B of A stadium!

Some will say it's impossible, but it happened. I saw 2 games in one on Saturday night. I saw both my first and my last game at BOA Stadium. I won't go there for another. What a cluster!

really?

Dec 7, 2015, 2:05 PM

These are realities in the present day. I went through security when gates opened at 6:00 and it took 10 minutes before I was in the stadium. I thought they did a nice job and was pleasantly surprised to see the SEC game on the jumbo trons while we waited for the game to begin. They have an obligation to run a tight ship. There were protesters who got in a few weeks ago for the Panthers game and could have caused bigger problems. We should be thankful for security at events like this, regardless of how long it takes.

Re: really?

Dec 7, 2015, 3:39 PM

Nope. You have no idea what subsequently ensued. Terrorist could have cleaned house on the crowd that was created because of the poor logistics by security planners. Panthers games have been selling out this year. Has it been the same scene at those games? 20,000 people bunched together around gates screaming here we are terrorist come get us? It would have been fine had BOA been way more proactive at telling people they needed to arrive 1.5 -2 hrs before game time to get in by the start. That's what it would have taken with the terrible system they were using. Insufficient crowd filtering setup and a very poorly trained/talented security staff equalled epic fail.

stadium at 7:15. Some of us went left to the East gate and go to our seats with 5 minutes to spare. Some went to the North gate and missed the first drive and missed field goal. I agree with the comment that the security created a significant chance to injure masses if you wished by just being in the scrum trying to get through the wanding.

are given at least as much time as the muslim extremists when we put up the good fight. This considering non muslims have killed 48, muslims 47 year to date on US soil.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I agree LBB. And I hope non-muslim right wing extremists

Dec 7, 2015, 2:01 PM

Why did you conveniently leave out the left wing terrorists?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oh I'd include them, just don't recall the high profile ones

Dec 7, 2015, 2:10 PM

Most of the US non-muslim terrorist attacks I recall off the top of my head have come from those with far right extremist ideologies.

My point is that MANY jump quickly to blame certain problems on muslim extremist while far-right extremism and mental health problems are at least 2 issues that are bigger yet for whatever reason don't get quite the same press or at least that's the perception.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Oh I'd include them, just don't recall the high profile ones

Dec 7, 2015, 2:13 PM

Could you name all off those you cited? I guess you've already forgot about the Community College shooter in Oregon?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Oh I'd include them, just don't recall the high profile ones

Dec 7, 2015, 2:14 PM

And considering how similar many of the Islamic terrorists and the far left's ideologies are, I would say those two should be lumped together.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol, that's a little harsh i think

Dec 7, 2015, 2:20 PM

but yeah, Charleston and Planned Parenthood in CO are 2 that come to mind.

Not getting into a deep debate here, just making a point. It may not follow your agenda, I don't know. BTW I have no agenda, just trying to keep things on the level here.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: lol, that's a little harsh i think

Dec 7, 2015, 2:26 PM

I'm not a Muslim hater nor am I a staunch conservative, I just tire of seeing those who lean right painted in a bad light while those on the left always get a pass. Atheist socialist and communist governments have killed more people in the last 200 years than any other group but Christians and those on the right are the only ones that seem to catch any flack other than Muslims.

U do realize the colorado shooter was a cross dressing left winger. Oh and BofA was a joke saturday night. When i got to front of line security lady said and i quote "i have no idea why they didn't have all the gates open"

"many Good Guys like DaBO & other leaders & Citizens across the Globe that will rise uP & conquer Evil! ??"

LOVE Dabo and all he is doing, but he is just a man. He and other good men will not conquer evil
; the victory has already been won on the cross. The evil one knows his destiny, and our job is to continue the fight until Jesus returns.

Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Some body is racking up at the pawn shop selling all the pocketbooks that were trashed outside the stadium. Two girls we were trashed theirs and luckily my wife wasn't carrying one. It was ridiculous.

I must say getting in was managed horribly! Gonna head to door early for Miami! It's was a nightmare getting in there and there was no order whatsoever. With that said I'm glad security was doing their job but I had no idea it would be so bad. I would have gladly gone in an hour earlier with a heads up!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I only had one MAJOR PROBLEM with the setup

Dec 7, 2015, 1:49 PM

There were thousands of people, all clustered together in one central location waiting to get in. We were all sitting ducks for some sort of explosion. As for the bags, common sense would tell you that after Paris and California that bags wouldn't be allowed inside the stadium. The people with bags are what actually held up the line.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I only had one MAJOR PROBLEM with the setup

Dec 7, 2015, 1:53 PM

Agree but these were purses that they are used to carrying in our games, home and away. My issue was that I could fit twice what these girls were carrying in a small pocketbook in my coat. I am not complaining about being safe but it could have been managed much better

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I only had one MAJOR PROBLEM with the setup

Dec 7, 2015, 2:09 PM

Next time you go to a game, concert, etc. why don't you simply check out the website of that venue and see what items are prohibited. All of that has been posted by BOA Stadium and the Panthers all year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I only had one MAJOR PROBLEM with the setup

Dec 7, 2015, 3:58 PM

We did. ms midland bought a clear purse meeting the requirements from the website. She was NOT allowed to take it in. Ladies in other lines were. Complete clusterf**k. We got in line at 7:15 and missed most of the first quarter. Security was rude. We were told to shut up and get in line when we tried to ask a question. Last time we will go to BOA.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not that simple.

Dec 7, 2015, 4:43 PM [ in reply to Re: I only had one MAJOR PROBLEM with the setup ]

The nazi-like/prison guard like "security" folks we encountered had chips on their shoulders and were over zealous. They were not following policy. There were certainly many fans who were not informed of the bag limits, but many of us who were in compliance with the published written rules were also told to throw ours away. After the game, Many in our area said the same. This is a story of probably $8-$10 an hour employees getting overly caught up in their guard roles and grossly overstepping their bounds! I am unlikely to ever return to BofA stadium.

We were told different things
It said all metal out of pocket
I took my money clip out of my pocket but left the cash in. I was then told that EVERYTHING had to come out. As the crush of fans got worse, people began to crowd on in. The clear plastic bag was useless. Long story short, dropped about $100 on the ground. Realized it when I went to the concessions
Had 2 clips of cash.Lost the big one.it was a cluster.

Re: ??Terrorists have won already when we can't get into an ACCCG without missing..

Dec 7, 2015, 3:30 PM

Glad you mentioned this Bill. Have been surprised I haven't seen more of this. I missed almost the entire first quarter trying to get into the North Gates and am pretty sure it was the same at other gates. The stadium was obviously not entirely full until the 2nd quarter. We waited in line for an hour. I would have no problem with that if the security check wasn't run so poorly.

I was crushed up butt to butt with thousands of other fans for an hour trying to get 100 yards. Security guards doing the checks were comprised of teenagers and crack heads. The mass of crowd that the bottle neck created by poor security planning by the stadium admin was a far bigger security risk than anything during the entire event. I would have gladly arrived at the gates an hour and a half early or earlier if these incompetents simply would have announced that was necessary during the week leading into the game. Someone needs to be fired over that debacle. Epic fail BOA Stadium!

Bank of America stadium security wasn't that tight. Girl I was with had my ticket (I thought). I got in without a ticket lol. Just keep walking straight lol.

If that's what we're talking about. Before you ban me for being racist, remember, I'm a Cherokee injun. You all need to compensate me for the smallpox blankets and a whole lot of land along with the other of your racist acts before we get on level ground and you start in on your PC chit with me.

All that PC chit out of the way, I distinctly remember Clemson winning, not the terrorist.

One last note about security

Dec 7, 2015, 10:11 PM

I saw no signs anywhere telling you where to go if you had a bag or didn't have anything. Regardless of the bags everyone was patted down and asked to open their coat before the ONE guy with a wand checked everyone for weapons. There was absolutely NO lines formed to get into the stadium. There were numerous cops who only stood and watched the crowd. There is no way you can get that many people into a stadium with that kind of preperation in a normal time span. I timed the security check and was taking between 20 and. 45 seconds to get a single person through security. Thirty seconds per fan and ten thousand fans! You do the math.
Security was so good that it took them five minutes to let me in and I walked through the entrance with a six inch knife in my pocket. It could easily have been a small pistol. But them a$$holes got my Milky Way.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

there are HUGE sign poles near the street at each gate

Dec 7, 2015, 10:48 PM

with HUGE arrows indicating which way for Bag line and which way for no bag. Problem was, they didn't have enough Bag check lines open.

I forgot to take the extra batteries out of one of my pockets. The security lady with the wand never said a word. I don't think her wand was even on. Maybe she needed my batteries for her wand. ..
