For a new IPTAY member, what area of the stadium will each level get you? Purple, orange, champion, tiger, and Howard specifically. Thanks in advance.

You need to understand that those figures are the value to KEEP your seats. It takes significantly more to get into those seats. Once you have them, you only need to give the minimum amount to keep them. This year (2013) for a new donor it took $2800 to get into the lower level. I know people that gave $2100 as first year donors thinking they would get the lower deck and instead are in the upper deck. Next year they would only have to give the minimum necessary to keep those seats. There are people sitting in the lower deck only giving $350 for two seat. Additionally, you still have to purchase season tickets on top of the IPTAY donation. The better the football season, the higher it is to join IPTAY and get good seats! Supply side economics in action!

Thanks for the links. Do you know how purple, orange, champion, tiger, Howard, IPTAY....Heisman compare to the colors listed on that map? I don't know what colors on the link equate to the levels I have.

Lol trust me, I wish I could Riggs it. Life would be nice.
I'm looking at the 4 lowest levels, but would like to know roughly where each one would put me.

It depends on the # of tickets you want to buy. If you want to buy two tickets and give $1500 then theoretically you could get two tickets in the yellow section. However, for the same $1500 you could get 7 tickets in the red section. So to basically the colors refer to what you have to give in order purchase the tickets but do not directly convert to donor levels.

I've been donating to IPTAY for 13 years at the $150/$340 level. If you give $1500 you will end up with far better seats than i will.

Simply put ... it takes a long time and/or lots of $$$$ to get good seats in the lower level. I have been an IPTAY donor for more than 30 years at some level. I have attended almost every home game since the 70's and a lot before then, I have been an IPTAY rep for more than 10 years and have brought in a number of new donors. I have bought two season tickets since the 70's in my name and many years prior to that in someones name other than mine. For all this devotion I sit on the goal line in section US with people who probably have never given one cent to IPTAY. The system may not be fair but I love Clemson and will continue this tradition as long as my health will allow me to be a part of Americas greatest University.. GOOD LUCK AND GO TIGERS

This was my friends first year in IPTAY. He gave $2100. He bought four seats. Upper Deck. Section K, third row from bottom, on the goal line (hill side). He did get good parking on Fernow St. near Riggs Hall. So, for $2100 IPTAY + $1240 Season Ticket + $180 seatbacks = $3520 for four upper deck seats and parking pass.

It's really hard to say, as once a person's in a seat all they have to do is keep their minimum giving level to keep those seats. You have to give a LOT to jump all the long-time IPTAY donors who have been moving up in tiny increments over the years. And right now seats are in extremely high demand.
This is my 9th or 10th year in IPTAY. I landed seats in the lower deck in 2010 after I upped my giving level and a couple of other things fell into place. However, they're in Section S just barely above the visitor's section, so they're not great seats as far as lower deck goes. They're also one level below what my donation level "earns" me - i.e. I'm eligible for Red seats but I'm in the Purple section. I went up another membership level this year, but despite asking for seat improvements every year I haven't moved at all. In other words I'm about 2-3 sections further out than what my donation level qualifies me for. So take that for what you will.

IPTAY

Your IPTAY level determines HOW MANY tickets you can buy and what your PARKING choices will be. You then must divide the IPTAY donation amount by the number of actual season tickets you plan to purchase. This amount relates to the colored sections in the Seating Equity Plan chart. So if you give at the $2800 level and plan to buy only 4 tickets (instead of the 10 that you would be allowed), then you are eligible for the Gray ($550) area. However, for folks that are already sitting in those seats, you can't make them move IF they are giving at least that amount ($550 per seat). So there's only a small portion of gray area seats that are available each year - those people who choose to pay less, quit, die or whatever.
Those available seats are given to eligible donors in a "priority" order. Priority points are earned for number of years in IPTAY (1 pt per year), total amount given in past years (1 pt per $250), and the amount of your current donation level (e.g. Champion=5, Howard=15, etc). If all of the available gray seats are given to folks that have more points than you, then you will get worse seats. However, next year you will be able to keep those seats for less money.
I've been giving to IPTAY for about 10 years, but I skipped last year (2012) due to financial reasons. For that reason, I now sit in the corner instead of on the 30yd line (south side). I paid $550 per seat in equity fees this year which is the MINIMUM required for lower 30yd line seats, but too many people were ahead of me which prevented me from getting anywhere near where I used to be.
Basically, my 2013 check was for $5280 for 6 tickets section T (North-West corner) of the lower deck. That's $3300 in donation (seat equity) and $1980 in tickets. That amount puts me at the IPTAY ($2800) level. I could keep these same seats for a lot less money next year but I might lose my parking spot.
It GREATLY depends on how many people renew their seats. If 100% renew, then you aren't getting ANY seats at ANY price. In 2013, 92% renewed their seats. So only 8% of the seats were available to new members.
If next year is anything like this year, you'll have to give more than $2800 for lower deck tickets. Hope this helps.
