Lol @ bama callers thinking they are going to hold Clemson

under 20 points. Some people saying 14 points because "greatest defense ever".
They are in for a huge surprise. Honestly if we score less than 20 (and lose) then it would be one of the most disappointing performances I will have seen since we lost to Duke in 2004.

we put up 19 on Auburn. Of course Bama thinks they will do better. We put up 17 on NCSU through 4 quarters. You just never know. If our OL play great I think we put up 34 or more. If our OL gets a beat down I would say we score 17. I don't see us going under 20 though. I am glad their fans are so confident though.

We did not run our QB and that limited our offense...even the Pitt game where he had an injury issue and threw it 70 times...we did not do QB runs.
There is no such restriction now, as we have seen in more recent games. That makes this offense way more dangerous. Helps our OL too.
Those who look at those early games as some kind of indicator will find out that we basically left that version of the offense behind a few games ago.
Turnovers are the only thing that could derail us...might can get away with 1 or 2 'non-lethal' TOs, but more than that is not a good idea

Holding Watson to 20 is a stretch but we all know what bama's defense is capable of while clemson's is a little more suspect giving up 24, 36, 34, 42 and 35 throughout the season. Bama's only hiccups (43/30pts) were against Ole Miss and Arkansas where late garbage tds inflated the final scores. Since the Arky game bama's defense is giving up 8 ppg. Cu's key to victory.....shutdown Hurt and commit zero TO's because the bama "D" has 11 scores off six pick 6's and 5 returned fumbles.
oh, and win special teams.

Bwahahaha..."only hiccups"....and I guess 0-0 in the 4th quarter vs LSU never happened, right?? I love how everyone keeps forgetting that part...oh, and only 17 offensive points scored vs Washington too....

Bama obviously has a great defense.
However, I would love to know where the Tide ranks in terms of opponents QBR for the season (not against them but in general)
It was my theory that the Big10 was offensively challenged and overated. It's been my hope that Bama's stats and defensive reputation are inflated because of abhorant QB play in the SEC this season. They have not faced anything like what they are going to see tonight

I understand where you are going to but they have been so dominant I think they are actually as good as they are advertised. If our OL can hold up long enough to let Watson get the ball out then we have a great shot though.

On the contrary....I think many could argue OH State had one of the better defensive secondaries in the NCAA this year, even still. And...31-0.

This is awesome. So I would say they've faced 4 legit QB's (MS, TN, AM, WA) and held 3 to <=16 pts. The Chad lit them up. None of these guys are anywhere near DW4. We're probably looking at a 24-21 type game one way or another. May simply come down to turnovers or 1-2 plays
