Like Tigers chances in the ACCT...

Mar 5, 2022, 11:51 PM

Open up with NC State at 4:30pm Tuesday. That should be an easy win because Wolfies have folded.

Then play Va Tech again, which Tigers should play real lose, and all the pressure is on Tech to win for chances in the NCAAT. That is a good match up for the Tigers because just more physical then them.

Then Notre Dame Thursday. Hard to beat a a team three times, so that favors the Tigers.

19 wins will guarantee Clemson a good seeding in the NIT.

Go Tigers!

Let's go! A positive post. I like the seeding and our momentum. With schef and middlebrooks playing well we have depth that we haven't had all season.

A loss to nc state would be extremely disappointing. 2 wins are very attainable. Let's hope our guards play well.

Clemson has never won 3 games EVER in the ACC tournament

Clemson would have to go back 12 seasons to add up all the ACC wins and make it to 3

The ACC is a dumpster fire this year and Clemson is only a winning team by beating three of the worse teams in P6 leagues to end the season and not have a losing record.

The ACC in its entire history has never been worse and Clemson is 10th in a very bad league. There are 6 power six leagues and the ACC is somehow ranked $ 7 as a conference. Never thought it would be this bad.

The best thing that could have happened to Clemson would have been to lose the last four be 12-20 on the season and finally look for a real coach. This dude just won enough to keep his job another year and curse Clemson to yet another 16-14 record in 2023.

Well at least I'm not alone in what I am thinking. Brownell does just enough to keep getting paid. Annoying!!

I didn't know that wake forest and va tech were among the worst teams in the nation...

the first round, which is what usually happens under Brown-L whenever you start to have raised expectations.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Don’t fall for it. NCtigs is just prepping to trash out team and coach if we don’t play perfectly in the ACCT. He won’t be happy until our mid pack program is a bottom dweller and we are baying buyouts to three different coaches.

Instead of setting arbitrary expectations then crying like a five yo girl who lost her doll if the expectations are not met could we just enjoy the tournament pulling for our team to do well?

Why do the agenda driven morons need to be out in front all the time and suck the fun out of what should be enjoyable in terms of being a fan?

You must not have followed nctigs posts in September-December. Very positive and upbeat on this season. Posted good info about recruiting and team development. I appreciate the fact he's passionate about our bball programs.

Comparison of our basketball programs

Mar 6, 2022, 9:00 AM

Barring your scenario, Niether men or women basketball will make post season play. I'm disappointed in both. I also think it's past time to cut ties with Brownell. But taking any emotional response from the equation, how did each (men and women) perform? How do we assess the direction and future of each?

Coach Amanda 4th year coach didn't do as horrible as everyone thinks when you compare the facts. Let's keep in mind that in December, coach Butler had two starters leave the team for reasons unknown.

Coach Butler has the 18th ranked class coming in and the first 5* McDonald's AA of any basketball coach in the history of Clemson basketball, men or women. This is her 3rd season in a row with a top 50 prospect.

Coach Brad 12th year coach. Recruiting class rank this year 39th. Top 100 prospects last 3 years - 0. Top 25 classes last 5 years - 0.

Draw your own conclusions but imo I see one program on the upswing and one treading water. Obviously we must consider that ACC basketball has changed drastically. women's basketball is comparable to what the ACC men's basketball once was. Men's ACC have declined and women's ACC increased.

Below are the stats this year. what would Brad's record been had he played CU women's schedule and what would Amanda's been with the men's schedule? Coach Butler didn't stink as many have surmised.

Women's SOS - 24
Q1- 0-20 - (12 of 20 teams ranked top 25)
Q2- 5-2
Q3- 1-1
Q4- 4-0

Men's SOS - 85
Q1- 1-5 - (Duke ranked top 25 both losses)
Q2- 3-7
Q3- 7-2
Q4- 5-1

I think Brad will be back but do agree with you that a change is needed. Saying that he did have one top 100 recruit before last season in PJ Hall. Top 60 recruit.
