We’re gonna just magically score 21+ this weekend?

Homer picks.
If we win, it’ll be like 14-13 or something.

A season is a series of individual games.
Each game is unique and can include various scores, occurrences, etc.

Yep... lets take a look shall we? Opp Clem 10 - 3 L to GA 8 - 14 W vs GT 27 - 21 L to NC State 13 - 19 W vs BC 14 - 17 W vs Syracuse 27 - 17 L to Pitt 99 - 91 2021 in 6 first P5 games
2020 Clem Opp 37 13 41 23 42 17 73 7 47 21 34 28 274 - 109 in 6 first P5 games
I think we pretty much can predict that this game ain't gonna be a blowout by Clemson in 2020 even if they get a W.

The assertion was that we couldn’t score 21+ points this week.

I think statisticians would say the mean average scoring is <21 and the chances of 21 or > is long odds.
And while any game can be won by either team, past recent performance is a pretty good indicator of future probabilities. That's financial analysis there.... though I'm no betting man.

You are 100 percent correct, the game in 2020 won't be a blowout since FSU cancelled that game. Good job.

I study trends for a living as a psychologist. Clemson has scored two touchdowns per game against FBS opponents. Sans the UGA game. We scored zero. FSU has dudes. Their recruiting hasn’t fallen completely off during this downturn. Look at the consistency (inconsistency) of the QB, one good drive per half. It’s all he has in him. Unless Potter kicks a bunch of fg, look for us to crank out 17 points. Period. I look for Benjamin to still be running next week against us. Our defense will do great for a while. Once FSU reaches about 68 plays, they will be gassed and he will run at will. There’s been anything but uniqueness this season.

after DJ was replaced for a bit and re entered the game he was better. Maybe he plays better if not the starter then comes in. Seemed like the pressure was off of him. Hmmmm Just sayin.

I’m not sure he really played better. I think half the yards we gained on that drive were by penalty.
I do think we break the 20 barrier today.

I noticed he needed to grow a pair in just about every game. And yes I’ve been to all of them.

(Well aware that the 60-something crowd is going to vilify me as a "coot fan" or some dumb schlit but....)
FSU 28 Clemson 21....maybe less.
This loss, making Clemson 4-4 for the year, will force Swinney to fire at least one current coach before next season.

I’m not quite the 60-plus crowd. I’m the 50-ish fan for life. I’m usually lambasted for telling the truth. Got downvoted for screaming for TL16 to start over KB2. I remember getting side eye because I boos Hatfield for backing into a 10-2 year when that team was poised to win it all if Ford wasn’t ran out. Those who were here know what happened. What really happened. Anyway, telling it like it is isn’t always popular. They always come around to the truth. It just takes some people longer. They are cheerleaders regardless of what’s going on. All that said, my love for Clemson never waivers. Whether we are 6-7 or 15-0! People have to realize that complaining is the catalyst to fix something broken. Great pick.

These scores are so confusing. Its almost as if they haven't watched a single Clemson game this season. At first, I thought oh they're picking Clemson to win in OT because they all put Clemson with 20+ points. But none of the scores are a single possession win, which an OT win would be.
So confusing.

FSU isn't as bad as people think...

If they don't ice their own kicker, they beat ND.
If they don't play man on the last play of the game, they beat Jacksonville.
They are two boneheaded mistakes from being 5-2.
They show signs of life on offense. Their defense is okay.
Not sure why any of these jokers have Clemson picked to score 20+.
Nothing will surprise me this game. Win 17-10 or lose 31-13. It's Bowden ball all over again. I can only assume TE is phoning Rob Spence at half time.

I mean by that logic, if Clemson doesn't give up a pick six to Georgia that game goes into overtime and they possibly win. If they just stop NC State in that first overtime, then the Tigers would have won that game too.

Reading this thread, I give the credence to most of your opinions especially those that mention "their real jobs" fully qualifying them to give credence to their opinions (Some of you may want to find another profession ">"> )
Ater knowing the outcome some persons will give you the armchair opinion of why they would win or lose, but I am not one of those persons.
VEGAS makes a few dollars off people analyzing and putting their money on the line.
Many moons ago, I learned that when it comes to a sports game "ANYTHING" can happen and it usually does. (Punt-rooskie) In Football, each snap of the ball is a "bet" (odds of a clean transfer from the snapper to the quarterback, odds the quarterback handles the ball cleanly, odds of completing transfer between quarterback and..., the individual games continue, because you have to also include the odds of the defensive members going into their proper location, etc.)
So adding all of the possible locations for unknowns or errors to occur and my "luck" at betting I always root for my Tigers to win and give them my full support when they don't because they will break down each and every movement they made on that field in order to get better and not allow a recurrence. (By the way, if you want to get rich, ask me who I'm betting for and bet the other way)
Goal is to make less of those little mistakes than your opponent. (if you're starting with better knowledge, abilities, and skills than your opponent, should be an easy win, but the little mistakes can still kick your butt even if the other team is slightly less "talented")
GO TIGERS!!! BEAT THE COOTS!!! Because in Coot world, a win for USuCk is when Clemson loses (regardless of what their team actually does, Guess you could say they lost today and their team didn't even take the field)
Platitudes of "in each life a little rain...", "separate the chaf from..", etc. all apply. If you love Clemson half as much as you love your Momma, you can't go wrong.
