I am not happy but I am not a reactionary type either.
Maybe we can boot BV's salary by making him the BB coach tooo.... Hiring a dedicated BB coach with Press obviously was a mistake of precedent.

We didn’t shoot the ball well, and we didn’t have an answer for Ron Harper, Jr. (who by the way seems like a super annoying person).
I’m really frustrated that we’ve lost three games that I think we could’ve won. I’m concerned that we aren’t leaving much margin for error in our conference schedule.
And yes, we need to let the season play out.

That's my biggest concern, too. We can't lose another non-conference game IMO if we hope to go to the Dance.
Drake is okay and the Gamecocks aren't all that good. Now that we've already taken 3 OOC L's, we've got to win those two games and obvs the rest of them.
Miami is a very bad team with a couple of very talented players in Wong and McGusty -- but despite having those two guys they are just not very good. It's a game we have to win -- again, IMO -- in a year where the ACC appears to be way down and we won't be able to point to a .500 conference record and say "but it's a tough league."
We are getting abused on the boards and we are heavily reliant on PJ Hall. Middlebrooks and Schieffelin simply have to play more. Bohannon competed admirably, but Brownell bringing in a 6'5" "post player" was a really questionable move for a team that needed size and length after Prosper and Kidd departed.

The bottom line right now is that we are just not very good. We got plenty of good looks at the basket last night and just could not make them. 3-Point shooting is fools gold and we are probably not as good from 3-point range as out early percentage suggests. I hope I am wrong.
I really don't care if West Virginia, St. Bonny, and even Rutgers (which I doubt) are NCAA tournament teams, close losses don't cut the mustard unless we start beating some tournament teams, which to date I don't think we have.

They've played 8 games and this was an outlier in the negative direction. It doesn't make good sense from a statistical standpoint to say that the Rutgers game was our team's true outside shooting capability but the other 7 games were "fool's gold."
You may turn out to be right about that, but it would seem the Rutgers game is the exception so far, and not the rule.

seems to be a pattern for most of Brad Brownell’s career.
Is there a chance that his teams are attempting shots that they’re not capable of making with any consistency?
If so, is there anything tactically that a coach could do about that at some point?

Before last night, through 7 games, this Clemson team was quite literally one of the best three-point shooting teams in the country.
It is certainly possible that we are due for some statistical regression, as I pointed out above, but they HAVE consistently made those shots so far this year.

We have 5 victories with an average RPI of 202. We have 3 losses to teams with an average RPI of 97. Perhaps our early success was a result of a really poor level of competition and now that our level of competition has risen to merely mediocre we are no longer able to achieve the same results.

that we continue to hear this year after year, and that we can almost never make shots consistently.
You’re talking about a relatively small sample size there, where most of us realize that percentage will come down as the season goes on.
“We didn’t shoot the ball well” is an appropriate thing to say when you’re normally good and you just have a bad night.
But when you find yourself saying it all the time, that’s a totally different thing.

He deserves to be called out and I have tried. The ignore feature isn’t very effective when the party in question spams the board as hard as he does. I mean he has seriously made a racist post he should have been banned for, he hates our coaches, and our fans. We’ve had our differences but I don’t go after you. He needs to go.

Clemson family. I enjoy pizzing off trolls and kicking chickens. I enjoy the stories from some of our iconic alumni and supporters and try to appreciate what everyone has to offer. My opinion of JK is one of the good guys. He may not be in the form others appreciate, but as a shorter term poster, long time lurker, I watched the guy get abused simply for defending the bball program. He gained a reputation and some love to hate the dude when in reality, he’s through and through a Clemson supporter, minus the overalls ??
Things get misconstrued all the time here and we all say some pretty dumb chit (Francis Marion), but we’re on the same team.

He doesn’t simply defend the basketball program. If that was all I’d have never looked twice in his direction. I can’t imagine that you truly think he’s a Clemson man through and through. He almost never says anything good about Clemson, not even the basketball team. BB is the only Clemson related object of his affection. Dig a little deeper. But his back to back posts last year trashing the Vanderbilt kicker and then one about black coaches were a bridge too far. If you want to think that’s good natured fun I don’t know what else to say.

Same Tommy Bowden syndrome. Play well at home but play like do do on the road. It’s the coach the coach. Very few care about BB anymore. I did not watch the game because I felt they probably would lose up there. There is very little enthusiasm for BB and it does not have to be this way. Cliff Ellis, Bill Foster, Prenell, and Barnes were so much better coaches.
