Let me ask this question? Taisun seemed to spark the WR's to play harder!

I think several people mention that WRs seemed to run harder routes and fight more physical for the ball. Not trying to start some conspiracy theory, but do you think good players that think they are of equal value but are catching balls from a player making hundreds of thousands of dollars more than them will slouch on plays trying to drive their value down?
That said, seemed like Ross elevated his game for Taisun. But look at B Collins seems to give full effort for his buddy.
Does income difference from players that feel they are as monetarily equal or more valuable play less willing if they can drive their cohorts value down? Make 50/50 balls look more uncatchable trying to build their status?
Young people are very short sighted! I fear we have issues! We have DJU wearing $6000 taylored suits to interviews and Ross who has opportunity to get highly drafted if he get's his game straight could be 2nd rd pick?
Just too many things seemed to have changed in one year. But we would not be immuned nor would other schools under new NIL rules.

I agree. I think that may be part of the problem. I think the tailored suit days are gone in the immediate future.

I would love to know the pulse of the locker room based on NIL and poor execution? If fingers are being pointed at players or at coaches?

No telling

It's hard to speculate how the NIL money is affecting the offense or team in general.
IMO I definitely felt like the offense clicked a little more naturally with TP7 in.
However, as to if teammates are intentionally "throwing" plays to make others look bad due to there NIL status...I don't really buy it.
For instance, if you're dropping passes from the QB that gets bank, how is that going to help you?
The general thought would be, I want more throws my way because each catch could garner me more attention (Highlights, top sports plays, etc) and be good for my brand to lead to more money.
Wouldn't make sense to take a dive just to make someone look bad. If anything, I (and probably everyone) has seen the WRs give DJU looks probably because they're frustrated due to inaccurate throws and production value for their brand and draft status.
Justyn Ross was and can probably still be a 1st Rd pick. ATM he's probably a later round pick (3-5+) due to production and inconsistency this year (idk maybe others who are in the draft know can comment) so I highly doubt he, or any WE/TE/ETC, wanna half @$$ it with bigger pay days down the line.
Of course, I'd love if someone who had the insider information would comment/bring insight but I haven't seen any post of the sort this season outside of speculative posts.

I agree 100% that any ball that is very catchable the lady thing the WR would want to do is drop it for their future both NFL and NIL. But if they were frustrated running routes for a player they lost respect for, could that explain lack of blocking, lack of effort where maybe blocking doesn't exactly shine as a glaring issue to most fans.
I think money and jealousy are guaranteed potential affects for teams, and that relationship could be tainted by players embellishing their monetary gain. I never saw TLaw in a suit after a game interview last year. I don't recall players sitting in suits except for their tiger walk and travel. But interviews used to be sweaty or in active gear, not looking like Cam Newton post game.
This is going to be a problem!

NIL is probably not even a remote factor.

I absolutely agree that the WR....ESPECIALLY J. Ross, seemed to play harder when TP7 was in. He converted two 3rd downs in a row....then, on a 3rd and 10, the play call is a QB keeper??? ###???
His first drive netted a Fg; he had one more drive with dumb@$$ play calling and then went to the bench cause we were down by "too much" and needed DJ to FINALLY keep the dadgum ball on a read option!!!! (Where TF has that been all season???? He ONLY does it when guaranteed a TD???)
TP7 SHOULD be the starter from here out. That is, if getting to a bowl game is the goal now. I do not see how it (the offense) could be ANY worse.
Go Tigers!!!

I don’t think DJ read that. I think he was told to do that as the play call. He has repeatedly shown that he can’t read the DE crashing down on the RB.

I don’t think they play harder, but to me, TP throws a more catchable ball. It’s not how hard or fast, but the timing of the throws. Play fast and do what we do. Run plays and keep pounding them with the run. Just like our defense is slow when their offense plays fast, the other teams defense is the same when we run fast. Up the middle every time on first down is a joke. Try a different run on that down. Surprise, surprise, surprise!

Puma was objectively better even though he didn’t get starter reps.
DJ: 7 net pts/9drives Puma:3 net pts/2drives

To tear down someone else’s. That makes no sense to me. All these kids want to go to the NFL.
Maybe they are giving extra effort for TP because he’s finally getting his shot and they want him in the game more.
This NiL stuff is way overblown. We’ve had guys on tbe team sign with agents and drive fancy cars and it’s never affected anyone. Some guys are role players and some are first round talents.
I’d like to think our players aren’t as jealous as the average petty Tnetter. We’ve had a stupid amount of posters blaming the NIl for stuff.

practice and off the field. It's only natural that dislikes will develop among a group of competitive young people.
