watching the ACM awards tonight and it occurred to me that Lee Brice who is nominated for male vocalist of the year as well as song of the year never opens his concerts with derogatory comments about USuCk . Would love to see him whip Rucker's ###......the POS.

I thought they were nothing spectacular back in high school & college when everyone was on their jocks then. Same old sound, same old stuff...nothing to see & hear there, but the radio played the crap out of'em like they do a lot of garbage groups.

I can't deny he has talent. But there are so many other more talented musicians & artists that simply never get the chance or break to bust through...many don't have the gimmick he ran with - being a black guy in the south, playing guitar & lead singer in a 'white' rock group...& now a black country singer...?
Honestly not being racist or anything, but you have to see the point there.
He was given lots of opportunities for simply not being the 'normal' type. It's like artist& actors saying crazy stuff, dressing freaky, using shock value to get attention, or being flamboyant so others notice you.
I'm sure plenty of people like him & his music, & good for them! I just don't.
Plenty of artists could use the chances he's been given and go farther, without being so stupid as to alienate a potential huge amount of fans (which are indeed predominantly country listeners).

I've been to 3 Rucker concerts and other than showing the sc logo under his mic stand never mentioned clemson, as Lee Brice only said to beat the gamecocks the night before the game at his concert in LJC
