Leadership- that’s what this offense is missing…….

If you look back at the past years, you had QB1 leading the charge On the offense and they were somewhat vocal/ handled themselves like a leader. I feel like our defense is kind of separate and has “somewhat” of leaders up front on the lines of Guys who have a “bond”….. to me our offense just looks like there are no “bonds” between players…and this can/will get better…hopefully. Just my 2 cents, now call me a coot or whatever…

Who is the ALPHA DOG on offense? Where is the fire? Where is the leadership?
Currently...null and void.

Also, where is the relationship building between the Oline and DJ. I remember Tahj and DW would take the line out to movies and dinner. They made an effort to build that relationship.

Leadership has been missing on the defensive side too. 2016 you had Ben Boulware. 2018 you had Christian Wilkins.
I know Skalski is a vocal leader but he doesn’t display the same charisma Ben and CW did. The team would follow those two no matter what. Skalski seems a little hot headed and quick to blow his temper.

I think Skalski is a leader, and I think Venables is their ALPHA dog and makes that known……

Just think the offense needs more fire, drive, someone who says like MJ did….”give me the ball and get out the ### way”

I think Bresee is the guy on defense, but suspect he’s also respecting Skalski as the super senior. Brian will become more recognized as the season moves on. He showed that on field leadership during the Georgia game with injured shoulder but making back to play the rest of the game.
Offense? No idea. It certainly doesn’t seem like a lineman will emerge. Rencher doesn’t play enough so he’s more of a leader in practice and with the RB group.

Conjured coot-like thinking that springs from a stoner chicken brain. You should find another team or hobby.
No shortage of ridiculous hot takes with absolutely nothing to substantiate it.

Thank you for some realism. The other posts are by the most uninformed, naive posts grouped on here for quite awhile.

DJ will develop into that eventually, but hopefully its this season. How often is the leader on offense not the QB?

without ever having seen these guys up close in a team setting. Miraculous. You should go into medicine or psychology.

Little ol’ Clemson is a bunch of leaderless, pizza eating losers!!!
Can’t wait for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Covid won’t protect your chicken skins this year.
Wish it could bump us up the ranks, but we’ll need to beat you by 50 just to hold serve.

You are 100% correct. There appears to be no leader on offense. Everyone waiting for someone to step up. So far none have.

The offense does not have an identity

This is the biggest problem. What it wants to do, it cannot do well, yet. It's a work in progress that will take some time. IMO, I think the coaches know whatever yards they get on the ground is gravy. It's the passing game that will carry them. Gotta improve pass blocking and DJ must move around better and throw accurately.
The defense has both an identity and leadership among the players. Their identity is you cannot run the ball against them. Period! Skalski and Bresee are the two primary leaders. I'm excited because the secondary might catch up to the front seven by season's end.
