Oregon is prepared to offer Cristobal a contract similar to Kelly or Riley.
Miami is going hard after Cristobal.
Oklahoma has interviewed Venables.
Oklahoma will interview Lanning and Aranda tonight or tomorrow (if Baylor doesn't make the playoffs).
Nothing new on UVA.
No mention of Kiffin to either school.
No mention of Cristobal to Oklahoma.
No mention of Holgerson.
Me? I have no clue. Nothing seems logical about the coaching moves this cycle.

Brent said he wanted it. I highly doubt they'd demand him to come out there. They know all they need to know. May even been just a phone call. If Brent didn't want it, he'd have come out and said he was staying. I'm devastated because his recruiting is off the charts. I'm praying that lanning wants it and can impress them. Just don't see it.

I haven't seen where BV has said he wanted the OU job. They are saying Lanning is the next Bob Stoops and a lot of people are really impressed with him. So we might get lucky.

I believe he met with them in Dallas earlier this week and at this point, it feels more likely than not he’s their next HC

Armada already said he isn’t going to j review, story came out he stood up in the middle of a athletic department meeting and said “I’m not going anywhere, I don’t want a raise, I just want more money for my assistants.”
He’s a good dude and very candid, if you saw his interview on game day today this shouldn’t be a shocker.

I saw that but was hoping they'd change his mind. Not sure they'll wait for fickel. I hope it's manning but I doubt it.
They'll announce Brent tomorrow. We could lose both assistants and an AD this next week.

Wonder if there's any mention of Elliott at UVA. On tci, Elliott says it feels like the timing is right to take a job if offered. I expect Duke to offer.

I actually think that Elliot would make a better head coach than coordinator. He is a pretty cerebral guy so UVA or Duke would be pretty good fits.

Asking what a coach "deserves" is the wrong question. The market has been reset by Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly. Between Oregon and Miami, Cristobal will get $9-$10 million per year.
That's how it works. Always has been.
I don't think Riley and Kelly "deserve" more than Dabo, but here we are.

I’ve also seen a few folks saying he interviewed via Zoom. Brent doesn’t need to see Oklahoma - he lived and worked there a long time. They know he can coach. By doing it via zoom it also doesn’t create as much of a stir if he ends up not leaving. No video of him coming and going from Norman. If he wasn’t interested he would have said so by now. Can’t fault him if he wants it. It’s a great job. I certainly think Dabo will have a long list of folks wanting to work for him so the sky isn’t necessarily falling. He’s awesome but there are still good coordinators who want to work at Clemson.
