..how does one then explain historical bottom feeders like SC, Ole Miss, Miss St, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and others? Apparently NO ANOUNT of money can help these programs...

wouldn't have a better football program if they stayed independent. SEC has done them no favors except allow them to get Steve Spurrier as a football coach for a few years, but he ended up doing more harm than good in the long run.
