Lake Hartwell Fishing Kweschun:

Nov 17, 2021, 1:06 PM

I don’t think this is Germans, however, if it is please take it with a grade of slaw and don’t landblast me. Any advice around fishing (boat and/or shore) around the Clemson area right now? Any guidance on time of day, lures, etc? Thanks.

As winter approaches, if you are searching for bass. I recommend throwing white spinner baits, chatter baits, weightless flukes, or paddle tails (swim baits) around hard structure during the daylight hours. If you are searching for crappie or bream, I recommend throwing bobby garland soft plastics on a jig head around the same hard structure, or underwater structure (brush piles, etc). I also highly recommend dropshotting soft plastics for crappie and bream right now. It is what is working for me down on Lake Murray. Hope this helps! Tight lines!

if you see fish busting the surface do not go running up on them with your outboard. you'll just turn them off. rookie move. Stripers on blade bait or chatter bait or scroungers with mini flukes. Cast, count to 20 and slow retrieve.

slow roll white or chartreuse spinnerbaits with silver willow leaf blades. Flukes. Articulated swimbaits. Ned rigs. Senkos rigged whack style. Green pumpkin see with red fleck.

points near deep water with structure close by. the bass are staging down for winter but stay close to shallow water when they feed in the warmer part of the day.

Hope for overcast skies and a medium to low barometer. Look at the solunar charts for best times. if it's rain yet still warm, don't stay at home. Go!
