Labrum hip surgery

Grandson having surgery for right hip labrum tear ,anyone have any experience with surgery and recovery. Will be an outpatient at Greenville Memorial.

I am in the middle of the recovery for the exact same surgery right now. I am four weeks in have been on crutches since the surgery and will get to start putting half weight on it and start driving Monday. It will depend on how bad the tear is they had to replace some of mine with a graft. The original plan was to just stitch it back and clean it up but when they got in the hip it was worse than they expected. I was originally only planed a week off of work now I am going on a month. The good news is that the pain is gone and has been since a couple day after surgery. Hope you grandson has the same kind of results. Good luck to him
