So you're saying the ACC is weak?...

I have excessively high hopes the ACC is going to improve, I really do.
Maybe this will be a great game by then? If it's good for them, it will be good for us, too!

I'd love to be snarky but I remember all the times BC has given us fits over the years. Hopefully they will do that to Bama.

Point well taken. But it shows what level of competition Clemson currently faces in 2020 and beyond in ACC. I was at BC the 1st time we matched up in ACC, and they beat us. And was at Clemson-BC game with Flutie in Death Valley when they tied our excellent '82 team then beat our '83 excellent team at BC.
My guess is BC won't be in ACC in 2034, and Saban for his own sake hopefully won't still be coaching - surprised Bama schedules that far out.

Couldn't agree more. I love big games & crossovers between conferences. If you don't schedule 'em you don't get to play 'em!

Saw they got Ohio State and OK State

In the same season! Same month even.
Personally I'd LOVE for Clemson to do more like that.
We've done a great job with scheduling OOC games, make no mistake, but we can't even guarantee a Notre Dame matchup every year and those games are electrifying, national appeal.
LSU & UGA on the future schedules is exciting. I'd love to add more. Crazy to think about where the sport might be in a decade or more. LFG!

I’d like to see Clemson schedule Oregon, Penn State, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma and OK State along with SEC teams like LSU and Florida. Think of the national appeal it would give Clemson.

We do have LSU on the schedule

The LSU meets are going to be a lot of fun, for sure.
I hear you on Florida, Oregon, Penn State, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, any of them would be thrilling just to announce!
Clemson has done great so far and there are a TON of open dates/years in the future including the very near future. I wouldn't be surprised if we fill some of them up with matchups like this. Fingers crossed. Good job, waterboyII. Cheers!

As long as we have UConn, UofSC and SC State on our schedule we have no right to talk about other people scheduling creampuff teams...

They've got 2 home-&-away games in their upcoming seasons

I like it.
I think we should do more of it----even if it's just one a year, I'll take it!
The LSU trip is gonna be a blast, & getting to play UGA is always good for us in the future schedules, too.

Wild list of former champions
Jun 9, 2021, 2:30 PM
|
|
The number of former national champions on this list of schedules is nothing if not exciting.
As best as I can tell just two of them have not won a national title (Arizona & USF). Got some blue bloods in there plus home-and-home naturally makes those games a little more epic (personally, of course).
I don't know about Wisconsin, but I'd love to play Texas & visit Austin again!
