Younger people liked it too. Just old people didn't like it.

Interesting enough that covers Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z...so probably the majority of the people watching...which is why they chose those performers.
If you go our to bars these days their music is what is playing.

I’m 52 and thought it was one of the the better halftime shows they’ve done.
People have their times mixed a bit. I was at Clemson when we first started hearing from Dre (while in NWA) in the late 80’s. I was 19-20-ish then. Most of the people I knew that were into punk/metal/hard rock also got into the “gangster “ rap of the day…many of the fans from back then are pushing 60-ish.

Just now saw this, but gladly.
Now a'days every body wanna talk like they got something to say, but nothing comes out when they move their lips, just a bunch a gibberish. The mf'ers act like they forgot Dre.
I could quote the whole song from memory, honestly, lol. I'm a metal head, but ANYONE in HS when that song was new could probably do the same. And that's just ONE of them. I could do more. 38 here, btw...

What would that music be?
The reason I ask is that undoubtedly the music you like was denigrated by the generation before it as trash. Even Elvis had his detractors. Back in my day…..grace was lost.

I’m 57 and I thought it was great. When I listen to music I zero in on the actual melody and instruments not the words. I don’t really care what anyone says on a song as long as I like the music and their voice isn’t annoying.
