coaches in college football! It just goes to show what hiring really good assistants can do for you! That and getting the best recruits money can buy!

Kirby was a play away from winning a national championship in his second season.

When we played for national championships the only thing on my mind was to go post on a UGA board during the games. WTH, is wrong with you?

Like the last place I would be is on a UGA board if we were playing for a natty. Exposed!

Fortunately for you you're not going to have to worry about that.

tip of the hat to them. I know they were hearing it from all sides and they did something about it.

Took their recruiting from top 10 annually to top 1-3 for last few years. You can see the talent on the field but they look like they are pretty well coached now. If we were playing Dawgs right now, the score would likely be similar and we have way more talent on Def than TCU does. I think coaching would be our issues if we were playing this game tonight.

I’m pretty sure the real UGA recruiting coordinator

Jan 9, 2023, 10:07 PM

isnt even employed by the University. It just means more.

Kirby is a solid coach though. Clearly knows how to eval coaches. He’d be successful regardless. But he’s benefitting greatly from this unique period of recruiting and a sophisticated booster network that’s been at it for years.

wonder if kirby gets complacent after this second

Jan 9, 2023, 10:02 PM

straight national title like dabo? that is the real head scratcher with dabo its as if winning at an elite level isnt a concern of his anymore like he got tired of the work he had to put in to win at that level and is just content with winning smallest midget acc titles

I think the sport is just a version of what Dabo and many fans loved about College football, but the changes took the wind out of his sails. I almost feel like he is throwing a temper tantrum trying to show people you don't have to use the portal and refuses to because he hates it.

Then add in the NIL, I just think Dabo hates what's happening in college football and he has lost that belly fire because he has lost the lovefest for the sport.

I could be wrong but Dabo is not the same guy he was 3yrs ago, pre-NIL.

agree ..its as if he has zero drive now***

I hate Georgia… But got to tip your hat to Kirby…

Jan 9, 2023, 10:03 PM

He is showing everyone what ELITE recruiting and ELITE roster management looks like. The difference in speed and size and explosiveness is abundantly clear to anyone who is not biased.

No games, no self inflicted stubbornness, no playing the game with one hand tied behind your back when you are competing against the best of the best…. A willingness to always be adopting and evolving and open to new ideas.

I keep telling everyone on here that Dabo is making needed changes….. but we are behind the curve right now catching up.

Coordinators with tons of elite experience added to manage a top shelf roster leads to top results.

I hope Dabo is watching and getting his butt burned by taking in what he knows as facts at UGA. Basically they have what we had.

It’s amazing how much better UGA has become since NIL legally allowed Gawga to opened up the money vault located underneath Uga’s doghouse. Lol I agree with OP
