This is a weird/awkward time when coaching one team and being courted by another. Again, I don't think he really said anything and if he goes my opinion of BV wouldn't change at all..............good thing is, it's not about the money for him.

Not saying taking the job would say anything about his integrity he’s earned it, but you don’t call recruits telling them not to believe everything trying to remove the worry then leave just my opinion. Everyone is different but I don’t see BV as that kind of man

I don't see it as deceitful at all. It is what all coaches do. You can't deny every rumor you know is false. The first one you don't deny will be labelled as truth.
Venables is following the mantra: I only talk about the job I have now.
It is the reasonable, rational thing to do.

That is BV telling them he is going to call himself when he leaves. The reported out of OU that seems to be the most credible says it's 90% done but he hasn't heard ink is on paper and wont announce it.
