Keith Adams, Jr. Well, nobody recruited his dad either ...

For those who weren’t around to watch Keith “Termite” Adams play for Clemson, it’s easy to just look at his son’s meager offer sheet and discount him as a wasted scholarship.
But, if he’s anywhere near the player his dad was, he will be a factor at RB over the next few years.

The hope is Jr has the genetics to be a great athlete. Everyone needs to give him a chance.
Still, we need to fix our RB recruiting, whatever is wrong with it. I haven't got a clue. It's easy to blame Spiller but the whole staff recruits.

It's easy for anybody, everybody to point fingers when thing don't seem right, but to put the blame on Spiller for the reason that a high profile RB didn't commit or sign with the 2021 recruiting class is asinine in my honest opinion. Spiller had absolutely,
Nothing to do with RB's Will Shipley, Phil Mafah, or Kobe Pace being solid leaders in the RB's room. Those 3 players had already made a name for themselves before CJ was named as Clemson’s running backs coach on Feb. 5, 2021.
As of Feb. 5, 2021, CJ began his first attempts at recruiting after 2-5-21, and that means he has only had less than a year at his job as the RB's coach that has 2 true Sophomore, and one junior RB with one ball to be distributed between the WR's, Slot receivers, TE's, and the RB's.
So I ask, how could it totally be CJ Spillers fault that a 4 or 5* RB wasn't interested in coming to Clemson and follow 3 highly rated RB's with 2 and 3 years of experience ahead of them. There would have had to been some mighty big lies told to another highly rated RB that couldn't wouldn't match up to the experienced RB's that is in our RB's room. If I were the best 5* HS recruit in the country, I just don't think that I would want to come to Clemson and compete for playing time behind the RB's in that room right now.
If I wanted the right now playing time that todays big time HS recruits are wanting out of HS, I surely wouldn't be considering Clemson with what we have ahead them. I would sign with a school where I could get college game playing time right now, and transfer to a FB school like a Clemson when it was about time for those monster Sophomore RB's they have to move on. And with the transfer portal, it has made it possible for the elites to do just that while getting the college game experience that they don't have when trying to get playing behind players like Shipley and Mafah, and that isn't a fault of CJ's, that is the fault of the NCAA transfer portal rules/guide lines for college student athletes.

good points and a loaded rb room doesnt make it easy to get another one who who wants to play immediately as they all do. I think the kind of OL recruiting we are getting will bode well for next year as a rb's as the incumbets are much closer to leaving creating more obvious pt opportunities.

Plus, I feel as if we are less willing to lie and over-sign

guys convincing them to come in thinking they will start.
We saw the effect of this issue with the QB log jam that was created a few years back resultingbi. Trevor Lawrence basically running all the other really good signees off.
The same will happen at Georgia and Bama as the cream rises and the other players see the light.
