Well, it certainly can be if there is an indication a justice might not be able to set their personal religious beliefs (or lack of) aside when deciding on constitutional matters.

Mitch McConnell is no prize, but holding up and then killing Merrick Garland as SCOTUS candidate was an inspired move.
Although painted as a moderate by the crooked media, Merrick Garland's behavior as AG reveals that he is a Lavrentiy Beria wanna be.
Habeas Corpus? Merrick Garland thinks not. Regardless of what you think of the January 6 detainees, many have still not received a hearing. This is Beria stuff.

McConnell stated that the Senate should not confirm any nominee until after a new president was elected in 2016. This was 1 month before Garland was nominated. Garland was a moderate.
