According to reports, he will be suspended without pay for the remainder of the regular season and fined $40K. The Wisconsin coach will be fined $10K, two players from Mich. and one from Wisconsin will be suspended for one game.

He deserves whatever he gets and quite frankly more. He is supposed to be a leader of young men who need leadership and mentoring. He goes off and sends them all to fighting. Not a leader . My opinion is he should be let go period.

Except Juwan Howard just mushed a coach in the face. Bobby Knight didn’t discriminate, he hit fans, players, a police officer, etc…

What he did wasn't that bad on the thug scale. It was after the initial incident, but he didn't hit the random assistant coach in the back. So not so bad. Lost some street cred for not waiting until the other guy's back was turned, but that is a fine example of a Michigan man. Also on the positive side, he set the example for his players that it's not okay to be dissed by the other team when the call a time out to help out their 2nd and 3rd string when getting pressed in garbage time. If the opposing coach tries to explain himself in response you your childish outburst, then you had better assault one of the other assistant coaches. Maybe next time, his players will feel empowered to throw the first punch.
Me? I think that coach is a loose cannon and dangerous. Didn't he have to be held back by assistant coaches when ejected from a game vs Maryland while shouting, "I'll f*****g kill you!"?? Now he's assaulting another team's assistant coach? Why have such low standards to keep him around?? Is there not a better coach who can be a better role model?
Low maturity, low emotional stability. A liability.

Why is the Wisconsin HC being fined? Is it because he called timeout twice in the last minute; the last being to allow the Badgers to keep control of the basketball while UM was pressing their reserve players?
I have no doubt that there were some choice comments being made by both teams and staffs at the conclusion and eruption. Howard should be terminated (or demoted for a long spell).
Don't be surprised if they are not scheduled to play men's basketball against each other in the next season. UM and the Big10 have a "black eye" over this one.

Gard grabbed Howard by the arm and got up into him... prompting a 'don't f'n touch me' from Howard
Howard was going to do a fly-by handshake until Gard grabbed him
not excusing Howard in any shape form or fashion, but Gard is not blameless
