Just saw a report that says Rickie Fowler has joined Phil

Mickelson as late signup for the Saudi backed LIV golf tourney that starts Thursday. Fowler had been struggling on the PGA Tour in recent times, but his entry into this thing still shocks me. The guaranteed money was just too much to pass up, I guess.

Just as you said, Fowler has been on a downhill slide recently. IMHO, trying to be relevant again.
DJ is probably the only one joining LIV who is not approaching being a "has been", and DJ is just a money grabber.

Really? I say that good for these players. It's called free enterprise or capitalism at it's best. Judging others is a pretentious way to make ourselves feel better. Hold on to your panties Alice, because these same Saudis are about to cut a deal with the US for oil/gas in exchange for some protection. But if you wish you could protest and keep paying 5 bucks a gallon just to prove a point???

Rickie hasn’t pulled the trigger yet and is keeping his options open:
“It's unclear what Fowler's timetable for joining LIV Golf might be. The field for the first event in London is already set, so if he decides to leave the PGA Tour, he probably wouldn't make the switch until the second LIV Golf event. That will take place in Portland, Ore. from June 30 to July 2.”

Especially if I was past my prime, I would sign up for the LIV tour and fast. Guaranteed big money. And for some stars, more money in a year than all the big purses they’ve earned in a lifetime. Capitalism at work.
I don’t buy the murderous regime smear talk from the PGA marketers. 1) What do we know about Khashoggi? Was he a spy and traitor? 2) Isn’t Biden heading to Saudi this month to beg for petro? As well as the murderous commie Venezuela regime? 3) Aren’t Americans still buying Russian petro used to fund the murder Ukrainian civilians? 4) The NBA and Nike angle has been beat pretty well - but 10 yr olds working 16 hrs per day for $10 a week sounds a little extreme. But how many are wearing Nike’s or any Chinese built sneaker? Etc. Etc. But the PGA and woke news is going to hold pro golfers responsible for Khashoggi’s death sentence? That sounds off base to me.
