Just read the deposition of the Detective in the DW trail

..and oh my god. To make a long story short, the detective believes that if a man has power and influence when the woman does not, and they want to have relations, consent is not possible. Whether DW asked for favors or not. Not only that but the detective never interviewed DW to get his side of the story. AND NOT ONLY THAT, SHE SAID YOURE GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT! You can't make this stuff up! He might not be totally innocent in all of this but what I just read really shifted my opinion. Unbelievable.

This is not about guilt now but is about fault since it is a civil suit. Deshaun needs treatment and hopefully he will one day be able to play ball again.

for a law enforcement officer or investigator to argue presumption of innocence or to even remotely imply that an adult female can't give consent if the man maintains some dominant characteristic (e.g. larger physically, more powerful, greater socio-economic standing, etc.).

allegations came to be until after Watson decided to strong arm his way out of playing for the Texans anymore. Bet the farm that someone in the Texans organization started the ball rolling on this, with the idea that they could reduce Watson's inherent value to other teams to the point that he would be forced to stay there. It almost worked.

I’ve always felt that the Texans organization was behind this too. Just my own feeling. They had a bad falling out with DW and decided to flex their muscles. Problem is, they’ve run that organization as if their brains were muscle. They’re not known for making good decisions. Best of luck to DW!!
