Just got the first dose of the Phizer vaccine yesterday.

Aug 9, 2021, 1:26 PM

The pharmacist warned me that if I had COVID before, that I might have side effects from the first shot. She was correct.

I got the Moderna.

Aug 9, 2021, 1:32 PM

I had COVID at the end of last year (November). My boss had COVID in December. My boss got Pfizer on the same day I got the Moderna.

We both had side effects after our first vaccination. But, it only lasted about 18 hours at the most ... tiredness, low-grade fever, etc.

Did you have a similar reaction from the second dose?

Don't tell TigerNet ... but I haven't had the second jab yet

Aug 9, 2021, 1:55 PM

I will probably get the second jab the first week of September.

I had Pfizer with zero adverse reactions.

Aug 9, 2021, 1:51 PM

Had COVID around Thanksgiving.

Had my Pfizer jabs in April and May.

My in laws though - they did feel like poop for a day.

Re: I had Pfizer with zero adverse reactions.

I had Covid in January. Thankfully it was not a bad case and after a couple of days I was pretty much back to normal except I felt tired a lot which is not like me at all.

I was vaccinated in March and my shoulder was stiff for a few days. I really thought I would have a rough time after the 2nd shot because my wife had a rough day after her 2nd. She had a bad headache and the chills for a bout 24 hours then she was fine. I took my 2nd shot and it did not bother me much. However, I took my shot and went home and stayed active. I cut the grass and pretty much stayed busy the rest of the evening. The next day at work I stayed out on the plant floor most of the day and stayed moving and aside from a slight headache I was fine.

Do not know if staying active will work for everyone. All I know is it seemed to work well for me but could just be coincidence.

I had it December of last year. Was like having the worst flu I’ve ever had that just wouldn’t go away. Didn’t want to eat for weeks. Lost 20 lbs. pretty much missed work the entire month. After two urgent care visits and getting IV fluids, was finally admitted to hospital. Did the Rimdisavir regimen for a few days and was back home after five days. Never had the taste smell issues. Did develop upper respiratory double pneumonia. Never was vented, just supplemental O2.

Well I haven't had a sniffle since this whole thing started or had the vaccine and so i am glad I live in a country where you have freedoms to choose if you you want to get the vaccine or not and not have any consequences but maybe getting the virus. Oh wait? never mind!

Are you like a hero now or something?

Aug 9, 2021, 2:34 PM

Nope just still a free man! For now! But with the pentagon just announcing the mandate, that takes care of at last 2 more because 2 of my children are in the military and are now being forced to take something that had not before or wanted too, even though it is not FDA approved. they cannot leave because they will have that on their record and loose all the years they have been in.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL free man. You really think holding

Aug 9, 2021, 5:25 PM

Out on the vaccine made some kind off freedom statement. By the way, stop being a wimp and stopping at those red lights. Don't let the government force you to obey those signals.
I'll show them I won't stop at red lights or get their vaccine. They'll see when I'm in ICU.

I can't tell ... are you a Republican Pharisee or Democratic

Aug 9, 2021, 2:38 PM [ in reply to Re: Just got the first dose of the Phizer vaccine yesterday. ]

Pharisee?

Aug 9, 2021, 2:55 PM

If I was a Pharisee I would not be free, I would be in bondage to self righteousness. However if you are referring to this country as Democratic then I prefer what we are suppose to be a Republic. To the Republic for which I stand.

Quite the opposite. Don’t think I’ll be getting the second dose.

Wife and I had Pfizer, son had J&J. No adverse reactions

Aug 9, 2021, 2:20 PM

other than a sore left shoulder for me when I went to the golf course later that day, which lasted for about 2 days. We iced wife's shoulder after her first shot and she had no issues at all.

I had Covid in Jan. Only couldn't smell. Besides

Aug 9, 2021, 2:21 PM

quarantining, life was normal.

Took the Pfizer and I didn't have any side effects besides a sore arm. I just wish all of this will go away and we can resume life and work on Global Warming.

It’s definitely comparable to getting knuckled in the arm by a large person.

Don’t mind the pain at the injection site so much. It’s the staying up all night puking, $hitting and shivering I don’t care for.

Had covid back in December. I feel great but still can’t smell a skunk fart. Will not be taking the vaccine. Sorry to hear some of you are having some side effects. Glad it’s all minor.
