Clearly not our night, but I heard Ricky Williams had been pitching? How’d he do, since he hasn’t had much playing time?
Curious as to how these young guys are throwing.

I thought he did good. He gave up a couple hard hit balls but settled down and got out the inning. I thought labriola did really good. Charged with one hit but radio said clear error on Sam. No damage. But then again Ricky is a true frosh vs rs frosh.

Pitching should definitely be a strength next year. Talent, albeit raw, is there. Can See develop? Tbd. Not sure if it's him or Monte but they don't seem to realize when our pitcher just doesn't have it and they don't bring a hook until a crooked inning is done.

They didn't pound us which bodes well for Sat and Sun. Just Anglin with 7 walks, a wp... Coupled with 2 costly errors zapped all the mo. Especially when the one error would have gotten us out of the inning unscathed.

Young pitchers have to learn to get out of their own jams. If they get pulled at the first sign of trouble every time they will never develop. I don’t mind leaving them in a bit longer. It’s a tough decision but one that can pay dividends later down the road.

Yes. But neither of you understood what I was saying. For one, askew is a junior, rd soph so he's seasoned. Maybe not as a Friday guy.

Askew doesn't give many freebies, clearly he was off. Also as stated, I clearly said we weren't hit, it was self inflicted. At the same time, he clearly was struggling. It's one thing when you're in the first 3rd of the season but we're up against the wall to keep a region spot. This is not the first time Monte hasn't read when to give the hook... Jmho, I know pitchers have to work out their jams as I clearly stated that about young Ricky. He gave up some hard hits but worked through it.
