to all the Democrats running around like coots with

Jul 12, 2017, 9:01 AM

their heads cut off:

* The notion that Trump Jr. or anyone else committed treason is facially absurd. Go read your Constitution.

* Yesterday I spoke with several colleagues who practice in the federal criminal area and who have been studying the recent events. To the extent it matters to you, these are liberal Democrats. To a man, each said that they have zero evidence that there has been a criminal violation of any United States Code. (as you will recall, also, one of the liberal Lounge brain trust in here could name any law which was broken either).

* My colleagues also opined that, if any charges are ever brought, they expect the crime to be lying to federal investigators. 18 U.S.C. § 1001. However, its impossible to know at this point because we don't know what, if anything, has been reported to the FBI.

* Now, I realize you have been reading the New York Times, the Washington Post, HuffPost, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc... and you have heard non-stop for the past year that Trump is Hitler incarnate and is an ignorant, xenophobic, racist, Billionaire/Bankrupt (depending on the context of the hit-piece), white privileged a$$hole hell bent on killing poor kids and further elevating the elite....and you very likely believe all of that. But, as much as you want it to be true, that doesn't mean there were any crimes committed with respect to Russia. Yesterday, I heard the word "collusion" in here repeatedly. Thats not a crime. If tomorrow, TheZxxxxx and phiTiger collude to assassinate President Ford, that is no crime as he's been quite dead for some time now.

Just because you hate this president, doesn't make everything he does an outrage nor does it make any actions by his campaign or associates with respect to Russia a crime. And, just as clearly, your hatred of this president does not negate the fact that you nominated the worst candidate of the modern era in Hillary. The Russians did not keep Hillary from ignoring WI, MI, and PA.

All that said, please keep at it. Our criminal system works for the most part. There are no crimes here - no actual violations of any Title 18 crime. Donald Trump is certainly open to attack on many fronts but Russia isn't one of them. Please keep crying about Russia. Maybe we'll get a few more Supreme Court justices approved along with some tax cuts. That will be enough to make this a success in my book.

They (Libs) and the media will pay for this come election time. Once again. American public is tired of this and want jobs and wages to increase and terrorism to be thwarted. The rest is just ancillary.

Good post

Jul 12, 2017, 9:15 AM

I will opine that nobody in the public sphere has any knowledge of what information Mueller/FBI/Congress has. Blanket statements that there is no proof therefore there is no crime is premature and maybe somewhat naive. Let it all play out and we will see if there has been any wrongdoing.

Yes, yes we did.

Funnily enough, someone did tell you what crimes may have been committed, but you conveniently chose to ignore the post.

http://www.tigernet.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=21800538

And lastly, as has already been pointed out, the law isn't the only standard used to judge people and their behavior. You either pretend not to understand this or are genuinely that dense.

"Yeah, they're great aren't they?"

"Well this Russian chick has some very sensitive information on Hillary from the Russian government"

"Really? When can she meet? Will June work?"

Then he conveniently leaves this meeting out of his security clearance application as did Manafort and Kushner.

They amended to include it after the investigation had begun.

So while a decent attorney could make arguments that this wasn't technically illegal it looks bad on its face.

And it also blows up the narrative from the Trump campaign that they were unaware of Russian efforts to influence the election.

I guess the questions I'd like answers to is what would it take? What is the standard of evidence you would need to see to change your beliefs on this Russia thing and the investigation?

Is there a theoretical action or statement that if uncovered, would make you believe Trump and his team colluded with the Russians?

Regarding your post - sounds like you are angry and hysterical? Check the mirror and verify your head is attached.

Historically it seems that about every 20 to 25 years, America elects a president who repeatedly lies - Nixon, Clinton and now Trump. Sometimes it is criminal, sometimes it is not. Time will tell.

BTW there are enough lawyers around that we all have family and friends who are in that profession. Legal opinions are as widely diversified as Clemson fan's opinions on who should be our starting QB in '17. Time will tell.

Im pretty sure starting in earnest since 1992, outrage / hate has been the standard emotion/opinion regarding the president if he wasn't the guy one voted for in the election .

Clinton, W, Obama, Trump - all outrageous administrations for roughly half the populace at any given time.
