when they came to the Valley some Aggies sat in front of us. The subject of Jimbo came up and I asked them what they thought about him. They were so excited to have him. Then I said them that in a few years I thought they wouldn't be happy with him. They just couldn't comprehend this. I bet those two guys are now thinking back to that day in the Valley.

When your getting paid a million to play for four years via NIL money it takes the sting out of few losses. If you jump into the portal you'll be forfeiting the money and transferring to a program that will also likely lose a few games. Most of those guys will not end up at the next level. If they graduate and get a regular job it's going to take them 10-15 years to equal that amount depending on their post graduate occupation. If I'm making 250K a year to play college ball with all expenses paid and a free education it's going to take a stick of dynamite to get me out of that spot. Not many teams are going to "out bid" A&M for someone that already signed a deal but there might be one or two exceptions. Don't see any big exodus but likely a lot of buyers remorse.

Firing him means their Texas oil egos take a hit for being wrong about him and that stings worse than the money which means nothing. $95M is a bad week at the track for these people.Theyre called the "Big Rich" for a reason.

The players aren't going to leave that NIL money alone.
But, will they keep working for it? Will some bad habits form; because they get paid regardless?
I could only imagine "actually having money while in college". Not having to eat oodles of noodles and ramen noodles with the super salty packet that comes with it.
The let's call them, "distractions" alone would probably get in the way of you focusing how you should in order to get better as a player.
As someone else said, 95 million is just a bad day at the track for these folks. It would not shock me if they still bought out Jimbo.
They are like JD and Jay Z - "money ain't a thang"!
