Sources are saying that Jeff Scott could be coming home after the regular season. And hopefully the NCAA will do away with the 10 coaches rule.
People have said that when Jeff Scott is recruiting with that paw on his chest, there is nobody better!

The way to go, would be reassign Grisham as an analyst, and hire Jeff as wr coach, and make him recruiting coordinator.

Coach Scott was very happy when Streeter took it over at the end of 2014. There was a story Jeff told about walking down the hall with the boxes of paper work in welcoming Coach Streeter.
Streeter then Bates did yoeman's work as well.
It will be interesting how some roles shake out if or when the NC2A moves to allow increases to the 1 HC, 10 assistant rule.
A lot of road has been traveled since JS was last an RC - would he welcome it?

is not something Scott wants at all, in any capacity. He may prefer to have another go as HC in a lower level of CFB, or look for an FBS OC job somewhere.
But if he were to return to Clemson, I would wants his hands on the recruiting and evaluating as much as possible. I don't care who does the paperwork for him.

before his next move. Young family, he's only 41? and his parents have been very important in his journey.
I have no doubt his talents will be leveraged where and when he lands. He's pretty good...

His Dad was OC for Bobby Bowden. He has always been one of top Offensive playing gurus ever. His fake fumble play against TENN in the Chic fil A bowl was wonderful. Phil Fulmer tried to hire him after that game. He was behind the scenes giving great help to the offense when Jeff was at Clemson. Hope both come back.

I'm sure he's not going to want a huge pay cut tho, after being a HC and OC. He'll probably still be involved in recruiting and the Wr's, but they will have to find a way to pay him at least OC money. If that rule is wiped away I feel really good its as good as done, just makes it easier.

With the field coaching rule removed, if I was Dabo I’d offer CJS an Assoc HC position. Eventually restructure the staff in January to put Jeff in charge of WR group and also give him the Dir of HS Recruiting and TP responsibility. I’d offer Pearman a retirement party and allocate his salary to Jeff. Grisham gets an offer to step back to assistant WR/analyst or wish him well at whatever school he lands at.

I read the article. While I didn’t get the sense Scott was leaning one way or the other, the most interesting comment was that the move, if made, would occur before the bowl game.
