What a difference a school makes.Chump Recruiting.

His 1st class @ Florida has an average player rating of.9062 while his first class at USuC(Slurrier's recruits)had an average .8620 . http://florida.247sports.com/Season/2011-Football/Commits
http://southcarolina.247sports.com/Season/2016-Football/Commits
Isn't he also credited with taking one 5 star and three 4 stars with him to Auburn that were either committed to or favoring Florida ? Think he stole a 3 star WR from Arkansas with his move to USuC.Don't remember any Auburn Superstar commits following him to USuC.
At USuC, he's down to offering 3,2 and no stars during camp. Isn't camp where coaches make their biggest splash ?
The Coots are right, things are really back to normal.Vandy favored by 3.

Jeff Driskel was a 5 star?

It takes a special kind of stupid to screw up a 5 star QB.

And several other 4-stars that went and matriculated elsewhere...Coach Mustcuss is the albatross around the neck of the Coots and their lame AD!

Oh yes, and if you watched him, he was actually regressing during his time at Florida. When he left, he actually started getting his fundementals back, but it cost him a lot of money in the draft.

Re: Ridiculous to compare recruiting between UF and USCjr...

UF has history, tradition, location, facilities, etc. Not to mention "other" perks (see attached).
I think a zombie could recruit well at UF.
USCjr. is always going to be a hard sell....no tradition, mediocre academics, ugly campus/facilities, etc.

In fairness, their facilities have improved.

The entire campus is more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. It's not Clemson by any stretch. They're still in downtown Columbia, so that works against them for sure. I live in Northeast Columbia and drove my nephew (a fan) through their campus and by their stadiums last Friday. Facilities aren't what they were 5-10 years ago.
Now, there are still lots of negatives. Start with the mascot, the logo, the retarded fan base, etc.

It's like putting lipstick on a pig.....it's still a pig.
Yes, I will admit that they've made some recent "aesthetic" improvements in terms of landscaping---they have. But their starting point was significantly behind that of others in their conference (and us).

They have improved. USuck got rid of "the banner" of OBC! Muscrap has quite a task in recruiting when the SECe is seeing every other school except Vandy rebound from a down period. Good luck if they expect eleven win seasons any time soon!
Go Tigers!

They are about to explode with optimism over on cockytalk with all of their no star recruits...claiming that Moob and the boys are just better than evaluating talent then everyone else.
We'll see how that works out for them. lol

If anyone there thought this was a splash , instant success kind of hire they were seriously misled . Who thinks this guy is going to succeed in the CFB boneyard that is Williams-Brice stadium ? Just ....still amazed at this guy getting a job as a head coach again.

Offense is a huge selling point to recruits and those guys would have sold a good product. We've already seen what chump sells. And I think he will be a salesman that fits their history.

The lamest , slowest , backwardest recruiting vehicle in the history of recruiting .
I wonder if the administration mails bus passes to prospective recruits ?

Yeah , I heard that he put regular in it at the first fuel stop on the Boom Tour and she locked up just outside of town . They rolled with it though , turned it into a diner .
