ESPN says James should run lots of steps, but missing any part of the Clemson game would inappropriately punish his teammates. Please don't shoot the messenger.

I remember specific instances when I played football where we had a teammate do something stupid in school or make a bad grade and after practice the coach would put him in the middle of us and would make the entire team do up downs, which completely suck after practice.

This is a solid way of making sure your entire team is looking out for each other not to step out of line
