What a team player! Although he "will not be playing in the Orange Bowl" he will be in Miami "to support his teammates as he always has..." Somehow, I think those teammates would prefer his "support" with some of the 67 receptions, 1,267 yards, 15 touchdowns and the Biletnikoff Award that he produced during the year, rather than by walking the sidelines in street clothes. Without the "support" of his teammates during the season, he would have 0 catches, 0 yards, 0 TDs, and no Biletnikoff award. To say with a straight face that football is a "team game" is becoming quite a stretch.

Bowl games as we know them will cease to exist soon, no way I'm dropping $2-5K to see an inferior product, if the fans stop dropping big bucks in the bowl cities - no bowls. A good time to revisit 1AA/FCS games.

There are now 41 bowl games, not counting the CFP Championship. Up until 1958, there were 6. Consider how much ESPiN, ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox make off of them. It's no longer about rewarding a football team at the end of the season... it's about more revenues for the networks.

We should be happy about him sitting the bowl game out.
With both him and Tillman not playing, it makes our secondary's job much easier.
Keaton and White are good receivers, but they're no Jalin Hyatt.
I predict that UT will use their tight ends more than they have, especially Fant.
