Jalen Williams

Jan 7, 2015, 11:34 PM

I for one love an underdog story. I think there something in our nature that makes us just as apt to seek out and cheer for a walk on our grey shirt as we are to cheer for the five stars. Jalen William's film looks great and I'll be rooting for this kid from day one. Thoughts?

He'll be a thumper. Maybe a Shuey like career wait his turn and get a shot.

At worst we have a special team demon. They can't all be 5 stars, need players to do the dirty work too.

These twins will be a factor and well known before they leaves Clemson. Some players put on their hard hat and earn their's through determination and hard work. Coach V will take these two twins game to another level. They have been raised around the game. The knowledge is there. If they have the will to be the best, the Strenght and Conditioning Program will do the rest. Can't wait to see these two twins side by side making a name for themselves, and not because of their dad's leagacy.
Oohs, I was thinking about the Davis twins. These kids will help strength the LB's Corps. We will be loaded at the Lb spot for the next few years. I can see us being able to rotate dual sets of LBs within the next few years. Similar to the rotation at our D-lineman positions, recently. They have the talent to allow the coaches to make this happen. The kid from Belton Honea Path LB recruit reminds me of Jalen Williams as well as Ben Boulware playing style. We should be stocked and loaded at the LB position for years to come. Can't wait to see all these guys mature and develop together. Clemson will soon become the Linebacker-U.

Sorry but I have watched ever bit of film I could on the twin, and all I can say is they are average hs football players. Nothing stands out. They even look like they came in out of shape. I don't see them being on the team during the fall. I want them to be special as much as the next guy, but it's not even close call.

I saw much the same, and have heard worse. They do not have glowing reports about their work ethic coming out of high school.

Spending one grayshirt scholie on a player with this film would have been questionable. Spending two on twins as seemingly undistinguished as these guys is...well, nevermind.

It's Dabo's team, and he'll be judged by his wins and losses...so it's his call. But these takes stand out like withered little lemons next to big Florida oranges to the naked eyeball, anyway.

Hopefully they will shock. But they're going to have to. It's hard to see them ever making the 2-deep.

They said he was one of the better guys at the camp. Better than some of the 4 and 5 stars.

Think he moves back and plays SS or plays the Nickel back like Wiggins did this year. Before anybody says you think all grey shirts suck no this is not the case with this one dude can play

I love greyshirts. Bring a guy in let him compete in the spring, if he is over matched move on. That being said there is a place on this team for Williams. He won't redshirt.

Most likely he will red shirt. A lot of Lb red shirt last year. They are around 240lbs from what I am hearing.

I don't see him being able to be 240 pounds and keep his best asset and that's his speed and burst

Yeahs I remember watching his film last year and thinking he is a heat seeking missle. Looked as impressive as Boulware to me. Instincts, hard hitter, high motor. I think he could do well. We are just stink in' loaded at LB.

Just like Boulware. He has a nose for the football. Nothing fancy. Just grinding, hard nose football. Both are great hitters and playmakers. Always around the football, at the same time causing great things to happen on defense.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yep i watched his highlight film yesterday

Jan 8, 2015, 6:35 AM

And the kid is Defintely a linebacker. He has a nose for the football and usually always destroys the ball carrier no matter start angle he is taking. In 2 years, i see him in the 2 deep. He looks alot like Shuey and Bouleware to me in how he just looks to destroy whoever has the ball. Another thing i noticed in his film is how well he sheds blocks, can't wait to see how this kid turns out
