What took so long? Not trying to be a horse's behind but I'm a little surprised why we didn't try to get him to camp last year... Case's been pushing for a while.

Guess you missed the thread yesterday on the same subject. He does not have an offer as he is not at the top of our board meaning he is good but a tweener of sorts so not super elite.

The fact that he is not at the top of our board indicates whoever is ranking them better get his act together. Given that less than 15% of the guys we offer accept, and that our class is so low most all the time, means we should reach a little bit. If it is good enough for Coach Saban to do that with HS recruits, it's good enough for us.

Plus if you look at the playoffs, it is clear that this guy is a great player, in fact I will go out on a limb and say if we get him, he will be a starter before the end of his freshman year.

I think our delay in offering kids, while it worked well in the past, does not work well in today's world. We already lost out on a great OL transfer prospect because as the Clemson Insider reported, we waited too long before we went after him.

You are correct. No excuse to wait this long, unless we really do not want the kid, which is ludicrous to think he would not help us in a major way.
