I’ve learned SOOO much about the neutral site baseball game...

Mar 5, 2018, 8:16 PM

On 107.5 The Coot today.

I now know...

Doug Kingsmore Stadium is only about 15 minutes away from Fluor Field. That’s basically cheating!

Ray Tanner was offered $70,000 MORE to play the game in Charleston, but for some unknown reason settled on playing in Greenville. Probably to keep the peace with the taters.

Better places to play the neutral site game (cuz Greenville clearly ain’t fair) include Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Florence, Sumter, North Augusta, Spirit Communications Park (home of the Columbia Fireflies), and Charlotte. Yes, Charlotte, NC.

Hopefully justice can be served soon cuz this neutral site game is a crime against humanity and explains why quempson has won the baseball series 4 years in a row!

That’s it in a nutshell.

What they talked about all day long. Unless they were discussing wimens bball.

They did take a huge moral victory in Adams being named national player of the week.

..... there’s TWO ‘m’s in Wimmenz!

How can you speak intelligently and impartially about neutral sites if you don’t even know THAT?!

smh

if not for a HUGE Clemson error, Clemson likely wins that game too.

You must've been listening to Charleston radio today---One

of the two chicken mods made a comment about the "orange crowd"....the other came right out and stated if anyone thought that was a neutral field, it was 70-30 Clemson.

Now, neither came out and stated the in-stadium attendance was more than 50-50, but apparently chicken fans expect the crowd outside the stadium to be a huge feathered lean as well---which--if it were held in Columbia or Charleston--it would be. The last game played at Riverdogs Stadium alongside the Ashley River in Charleston, I'd estimate the seated fans to about 60-40 chickens---perhaps a bit higher.

The little cowards have had their collective a$$es whipped so much by the Tigers, they want MORE than just every normal advantage----they want every edge their little psychoses can dream of.

Eff'em. Gawd what a spineless bunch

It could have been 7-30..I didn't go or see any pics, but

Mar 6, 2018, 10:22 AM

it is probably due to the fact that the coots haven't beaten us in ANY men's sports of merit in a lonnnnng time. If they would have won the football game last November, you can bet the house they would have flocked to the game in Greenville by the thousands...

Bwak bwak.

GREENVILLE WAS FINE A FEW YEARS BACK, WHEN THEY HAD BETTER PLAYERS.NOW WE HAVE AS GOOD OR BETTER PLAYERS AND COACHES.CHECK THE RECORD WHEN WE PLAYED FOOTBALL EVERY YEAR IN COLUMBIA.WHAT WAS THE RECORDS THEN.AT LEAST YOU DID NOT HAVE THINGS THROWN AT YOU LIKE HAPPENED AFTER THE FOOTBALL GAME LAST YEAR.

All of those sites mentioned in S.C. is only an advantage for the coots. The travel time for Clemson would be twice as far as the coots.

we could beat the dirt-peckers if we played on the moon -- but you have to give em' credit for being #!, they are the #1 delusional fan base in the country /world****

games in football, did they?? When they return the favor in football, then I'll worry about us having a slight advantage in Greenville!!!

My understanding is each booster club is given 50% tickets. If there was 70% tigers that means a bunch of gamecock club members sold their tickets. Duh.
Based on the pregame bar crowd I would have said the opposite.
Maybe they were looking at the crowd after the 6th inning...

Mar 6, 2018, 8:06 AM

Isnt that 50% of what the Drive allots the teams?

I think the Drive sells some on their own too that would make up the advantage.

Mar 6, 2018, 5:50 AM

Flour Field was about 75%-25% Gamecock in the stadium. I remember how embarrassing that was and posted or tweeted about it, etc.

Heck, we had almost 30% of the Williams Brice Stadium seats during the football game in 2015.

The point is. Winners bring fans. When Scar baseball was on top, they could have played the game anywhere outside of DKS and the Gamecocks would have had more fans.

Now, the same is for Clemson. Anywhere outside of Columbia, Clemson is going to bring more fans because the baseball team is winning and Scar is not.

What about the racial slurs?

Mar 6, 2018, 6:37 AM

Surely our Tigers made the coots feel welcome with some racial slurs.

I actually like the idea of SRP park in NA. Aiken and NA has a large Clemson following and I know they would show up. I think some years we might have more fans and some years they might. But Greenville is already even if you ask me. I know the coots have a pretty large following in Greenville.

I' pretty sure the Charlotte AAA baseball team's field is actually in Fort Mill. This would be a good option for our neutral site game with the coots. It would also be a great place for the ACCCG.
