Look at UGA for years having all that talent and routinely losing 3-4 games!
They are better off this year because the SEC-least was hot garbage besides "basketball school" Kentucky!
Then, they got very lucky against us with the Pick 6. In an off-year, we had a chance to beat their $ss!
Point of all that being - "so what you have them, now what are you going to do with them"? Clemson didn't have the best rated class in CFB in 1981, 2016 or 2018. In fact, in 2015 when I thought we really should have won it the 1st time we had a Freshman through Senior composite ranking of 17th. But, Bama needed an onsides kick to beat us!

Agree most kids and sadly their parents are not focused on Education, Integrity and Character. Having their kids in a program that not only can win but turn their kids in to good fathers, good husbands and educate them so they have a future. A program that turns immature kids into responsible men. Mario Goodrich is a great example.
They are more interested in NIL $$$$$ and how will you market my kid. This attitude will come back to haunt them. Look at the number of players Clemson had put in the NFL, but more importantly look at the men who are now in their 30’s and representing Clemson with success and Class.
NIL and the TP are the 2 worst games hinge to happen to college football.

WUeagle - I could not possibly agree more.
The statement, "we should have gone to.................. and played for ................. and everything would have been totally different" will ring out a bunch.
Until NIL deals are in contract form - currently they are not to my understanding(let me know if you know of a contract). The player who doesn't meet or exceed expectations and ends up not getting an education or drafted out of college football "will be the ultimate loser"!
Sad state of affairs really! People who aren't paying attention always act like you don't get the players side; when in fact; "that is exactly who you are thinking about" down the road!
