If Floyd and Wright had followed officer instructions and

Apr 14, 2021, 1:27 PM

floyd maybe (was on a path to self destruction)
wright, most likely

Of course. In my opinion, police were at fault in both

situations, and should be held accountable to the appropriate degree, but both Floyd and Wright also directly contributed to their own deaths as well. I'm all for better police training, but if the goal is really to save black lives, somebody better get the word out to obey the law and comply with police.

Most will agree with you...

But you can't ignore the fact that IF the dude did not break the law and resist arrest, etc. etc. they would be alive today.

I mean really, how many times does it take?

Do the homies on the street every say to themselves "chit I'm jus gonna chill if I get stopped so dey don' kill me" and if they are not saying this, why not? Are people on the street being told they NEED to try and get away or they will be killed by the cops? Hmm.

How about all the times that black people comply with police, are abused and detained for no reason, and then let go?

I'm assuming they're supposed to have the warm and fuzzies about cops after those episodes and then always comply with these well-meaning officers of the law?

Then again, when I want to learn about police brutality, I always ask a white man, because he always gives the most accurate opinion

Could you give one specific example?

Lots of people just don't seem to get it...

Apr 15, 2021, 9:25 PM

they say "back the blue" and unconditionally support the police but they forget that the police are the enforcement arm of all the big government bullsh*t that they supposedly oppose. When Biden's new 13 member supreme court makes guns illegal, who do you think is going to come shoot you and take your guns? The police, that's who.

Yes, definitely...

Apr 15, 2021, 8:48 PM

Because according to the spirit of America, disobeying an officer should be punishable by death.

I mean, if only some of those colonists had obeyed the will of King George, they wouldn't have been hanged.

When did resisting arrest become a death penalty?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's not. I'm sure 99.99% of resisting arrest situations

Apr 16, 2021, 4:15 PM

result with criminal arrested (with a few extra bumps and bruises).

But - if you resist arrest - the chances greatly increase that something MIGHT happen.

If 100+ people died every year from being thrown out of bars by a bouncer, don't you think that'd raise a few red flags?

They would have only contributed to their own deaths if we did not live in a free society. I mean what you just said scares the everlasting crap out of me. The more people who believe what you just said, the less free we become.

What he said was a factual statement

Apr 17, 2021, 5:46 AM

I've had my share and then some with the police. In general, I don't like them one bit.

Even if the cops are 100% guilty and go to prison for murder it is still a fact that Floyd and Wright would be alive today had they complied with instructions.

Not sure about that - Floyd had a lethal dose of Fentanyl in his system - He was struggling to breath in the police car. Resisting arrest certainly did not help.
Union protected police do not help anything, but the unions.

They'd also wouldn't have been killed by cops if cops didn't exist.
