but recruiting just doesn’t mean near as much since the portal has started. If a team signs every 5 star available (signing the #1 class) they could lose half within a month. The kids chasing NIL situations will jump ship for the next “deal” dangled in front of them (or for immediate playing time). I think Dabo selects players that will actually commit to the Paw and put a emphasis on a Clemson degree. I honestly believe He wants character over top talent with bad drama. I’m proud of what our Head Coach stands for even if it’s the hard way of doing things. College football has changed until some kind universal guidelines are placed on NIL. The portal will be more active than ever in 22 ??

found my ORANGE experience from August. They did a 2 page guide on NIL.

Shockingly you can give a lot to a player now for likeness BUT.. you can't get his/her autograph any more at a football game or practice.. or any other official school activity. IT may have just read athletic activity.

I dunno.. only read about half before i was done dropping the gamecocks off at William Brice and wiping.

It does matter, but maybe not what rivals/et all say it does.

Lead example: Georgia.

Georgia is top 5 every year, nearly fielding an NFL team and hasn't done #### in 41 years but tell everyone they're Georgia and no one else is. Well......they're not wrong and I think the Lord everyday we aren't.

Bama, Ohio State, and Georgia seem fine as usual? This is a first year problem for us and we just lost our DC all while coming off an off year where people were doubting Clemson. I think people are making a bigger deal than needed. We have an exciting year and we are fine again. Come out and look as we did and it won't excite recruits.

Oh recruits will be excited about Clemson. With everyone going after people in the portal Coach will have an easy time picking up the players he wants and developing them. The ones that don't make starter may go but who cares. Let all the others fight it out in the portal potty

I agree.. if a lot of teams could win 10 games they would build a statue of their coach. It’s considered a down year for Clemson lol. The media seems to of “piled on” when we were struggling earlier this year. Winning cures everything and I believe we are gonna win a lot of games next year. Looking forward to it ??
