Man in Minneapolis didn't deserve death. He was pulled over for a busted tail light.
God only knows what happened in Baton Rogue.
I feel for our communities effected. I sympathize with the African Americans who feel like they are being targeted and treated brutally by police.
But i truly feel terrible for the families of these fallen police officers who lost there lives to cold blooded murder. These folks weren't involved and were innocent folks doing their job.
Man, lost for words.. may peace be with those families and the Dallas community.

When an officer tells you to stop reaching for your gun, you stop. The video only started AFTER the shooting happened. Something is fishy but we never know what really happened.

seems to be taking her account of events as gospel, even though she only started video after the shooting. She is WAY too calm in the video, using it for her own agenda instead of being hysterical over the shooting of her boyfriend as any normal human being would be. Even the supposed emotion she shows later on in the video sounds scripted to me. Sadly, unless the police officer had a recording device on him, we may never know what really occurred prior to the shooting taking place. It is a real tragedy no matter what the circumstances were.

I've been around long enough to recognize when something just doesn't add up.
But it sure gets the professional agitators off the couch, doesn't it? They've been itching to get back outside, I'm sure, been a slow summer to get that pent-up hate and anger out. Plus, nothing but reruns on TV.

So you didn't see the cop wrenching the gun from the dudes pocket in the video. Two cops had the man down, and even if he had his hand on the gun, shoot that hand. Just bc he was black and had a gun in his pocket, that didn't make him into a cop killer....

I'll assume you are a compassionate person who, when given good reasons for her behavior, will not assume the worst of her.
So assuming the best about you, I would just say that many African Americans and citizens in general are getting used to the idea that a smart phone is probably their best defense against police brutality. It may not bring her husband back to life, but it could add to the growing body of evidence that we need real change.

One perpetuates the other for the most part. Incidents like Dallas and black lives matters and
other black protesters make the cops on edge when they stop a black person for some reason. All it takes
is one false move then.

aggressive and wrongful. Police screw up. But how do you know it was raced based?
If you go by the shotbypolice.com figures, you are more likely to get killed by a police person as a white male than any other demographic.(Not all race is listed on the website)
The vast majority of police shootings are justified and the remainder are largely due to poor training or bad decision making.
Could there be a few cops that pull a trigger based on race..sure. But that can't paint the intent of an entire profession. There certainly isn't a systematic conspiracy in most PD to show racial bias.
I understand anger and frustration with these last two incidents, but do they warrant mass protests across the country? Will the protests solve anything? Or will they just create a bigger divide?

And I'm not going to go out and start stocking up on high caliber weapons and ammo. I know I can't win that arms race.

But i truly don't feel racism is the ultimate motivator for a trigger finger, when it appears it's not needed, but sadly the suspect sometimes makes a bad human decision too to resist and all helll breaks out.
Are their bad Cops (Yes!); Are their bad suspects that cause their demise (Yes!)..
But 90%+ of Cops & Suspects go about their way with no problems, afterwards.
Let's keep it that way PLUS decrease the other 10% of problems & unneeded deaths, and the hatred it causes Mankind!

I'm so sick and tired of our current president stoking the race fire and making matters worse. I'm also tired of the Agenda driven media(right and left) distorting the incidents to make it fit their narrative.
Something seems off about both of these events. In LA I've seen reports where he did have a gun and by all means he should NOT have been resisting. In MN, the officer told him to stop reaching and he should've.
Did the guys deserve to be shot? I don't know, I've never been in that situation, don't know all of the facts, and don't know the rules of the job. What I do know is that if an officer gives you an order you obey that order or you put yourself(and him/her) at risk. Had these 2 complied and followed basic orders I'd venture to say that they'd still be with us today.

You sir need to learn a simple lesson: Before making any judgments on any situation let's get ALL the facts! Sometimes in life what you think to be a given situation turns out to be exactly the opposite. Let's l;et the police and law authorities do their work and then we can draw our conclusions.

Please tell me you're not the only person on the planet who hasn't noticed that there is a frikkin video showing EXACTLY what happened. The guy got shot at point-blank range after he was successfully subdued by two officers. Please tell me you're not this willfully ignorant.

Until you step into the shoes of law enforcement you don't know what it's like to have your life on the line every day. Try going out every day and seeing the worst you community has to offer day after day. You want to expect the best from people but most times you get the worst. You never know if this is the stop that gets you killed.

Absolutely, and from what we've seen in the video in the Dallas case, IMO that was nothing less than murder of a citizen. Gun in a pocket isn't a reason to be killed!!!
